Sri Lankan apparel 輸出（する）s 縮む by $900 mln - 貿易（する） group

COLOMBO, Oct 27 (Reuters) - Sri Lanka's apparel 輸出（する） 収入s 低迷d by $900 million in the first nine months this year, an 産業 協会 said on Friday, as slowing 全世界の 需要・要求する 土台を崩すs a 主要な支え of the struggling South Asian country's economy.
Apparel is Sri Lanka's largest 産業の 輸出（する） and earned $5.95 billion in 2022, helping it 天候 its worst 財政上の 危機 since independence in 1948, 誘発する／引き起こすd by a 記録，記録的な／記録する 削減 in foreign 交流 reserves.
But this year, the 産業 has struggled with 衣料品 輸出（する）s up to September dropping 39% to $3.4 billion year-on-year, 最新の data from the 共同の Apparel 協会 会議 (JAAF), the 産業's 最高の，を越す 団体／死体, showed.
The largest 拒絶する／低下する as 需要・要求する globally slows has been in 輸出（する）s to the U.S., which have dropped by 31% to $1.4 billion. 輸出（する）s to the European Union, which is Sri Lanka's second largest market, have 減少（する）d by 27% to $1 billion and to Britain by 23% to $480 million.
The JAAF said in May it 推定する／予想するd Sri Lanka would lose a total of about $1 billion in apparel 輸出（する） 収入s this year but the losses up to September 示す the total for the year might より勝る that 発射／推定.
But Sri Lanka is still hoping to earn about $4.5 billion from 衣料品 輸出（する）s by year-end, said Yohan Lawrence, 長官 General of JAAF.
"Losses have 底（に届く）d out. It will not get worse. We are past the worst of it and we may see some 上昇 at the end of the year but nothing much to 令状 home about," Lawrence told Reuters.
"We will hopefully start seeing some 調印するs of 回復 at the beginning of next year as 超過 在庫／株 gets used up."
