Barbie turns 65 in a world of 広大な doll 多様制

LOS ANGELES, March 5 (Reuters) - At 65 years of age, Barbie shows no 調印するs of retiring from her 250 different 職業s as a plastic and fantastic doll whose small feet have left a big cultural 示す on the human world.

The 初めの Mattel Barbie with her iconic blonde hair, 黒人/ボイコット and white bathing 控訴 and 注目する,もくろむs angled to the 味方する, was 奮起させるd by creator Ruth Handler´s daughter, Barbara, in 1959.

However, in 2024, as Barbie celebrates her 65th 周年記念日, the dolls are produced in a 多様制 of colors, hair textures, 団体/死体 形態/調整s and more.

"Barbie used to be a more singular reflection of beauty and more one-dimensional. Today, there are many Barbies, and we've got 多重の 見解(をとる)s of the brand," Mattel's (n)役員/(a)執行力のある 副/悪徳行為 大統領,/社長 and 長,指導者 brand officer, Lisa McKnight, told Reuters at the Mattel Design 中心 in Los Angeles.

Barbies come in 35 肌 トンs, 97 hairstyles and nine 団体/死体 types, 含むing dolls with 車椅子s, 負かす/撃墜する Syndrome, vitiligo and 加える-sizes 同様に as gender 中立の dolls.

The doll has also become the fashion icon recently 奮起させるing Barbiecore and helping many renowned hair stylists and 着せる/賦与するing designers, like Karl Lagerfeld, get their start.

While 拡大するing, however, some things remain true for the toy brand, 含むing 手渡す-絵 Barbies and using the same sewing machines that have been around since 1959.

Whether it is 手渡す-sculpting new dolls or operating 前進するd 3D-printers, the brand is open to change.

The 65th 周年記念日 dolls created by Filipino lead designer for Barbie 署名, Carlyle Nuera, are a reimagining of the 初めの Barbie´s bathing 控訴 as a 黒人/ボイコット and white gown …を伴ってd by white cat-注目する,もくろむ sunglasses.

Rather than just the classic white doll with blonde hair, there's also a 黒人/ボイコット doll with braids and laid 辛勝する/優位s, a popular style for 黒人/ボイコット women that 含むs soft and sleeked baby hairs.
