モーター racing-Chadwick takes grassroots approach to 上げる 女性（の） 参加

LONDON, March 6 (Reuters) - The second season of the all-女性（の） F1 学院 starts in Saudi Arabia this week but Jamie Chadwick, Britain's 最高の，を越す woman racer, recognises there is a long way to go before 決まり文句／製法 One's male monopoly ends.
A ３倍になる 支持する／優勝者 in the 消滅した／死んだ W Series, and now racing in America, Chadwick agrees with Williams boss James Vowles that it will be years before a 女性（の） driver appears on a grand prix starting grid.
Moves to 上げる 女性（の） 参加 in motorsport are 選ぶing up pace but it has been nearly half a century since Italian Lella Lombardi started a grand prix in 1976.
"I think he´s 権利," Chadwick, 25, told Reuters when reminded of Vowles' comments last year that the 打開 would happen but not soon.
"I think what we´re doing is growing the 量 of 参加 and that´s 増加するing the talent pool," she 追加するd at a karting event for girls at Whilton Mill north of Silverstone.
"自然に that´s just going to 増加する the 半端物s of 女性（の） drivers filtering through to the 最高の，を越す, but what we are 欠如（する）ing now is 業績／成果 at the feeder series level.
"We´ve not really seen that many women (competing) at F2 level or F3 level."
Chadwick is part of the Williams Driver 学院 and is 助言者ing 17-year-old American Lia 封鎖する, daughter of the late 決起大会／結集させる driver Ken, in F1 学院 where she will race an F4 car with the ART team.
The Briton will not be in Jeddah as she is racing for Andretti 全世界の in IndyCar's Indy NXT feeder series season opener in Florida on Sunday.
GRASSROOTS
In the 合間, Chadwick is getting 支援する to gr assroots.
On Friday, International Women's Day, Britain's three Daytona Motorsport kart 跡をつけるs will 申し込む／申し出 '女性（の）s race for 解放する／自由な" 接近 with the 可能性 of competing in a 'Jamie Chadwick Series' with 基金ing and a mentorship to be won.
Chadwick said the 目的（とする） of the year-long series was to build 利益／興味 and create "a community and a 安全な space for those who maybe felt 脅迫してさせるd".
"I started when I was 12 and until I was about 15 or 16 I hadn´t even been in a paddock with another 女性（の） driver," she 解任するd.
"There were a couple of girls in karting but I never really competed 直接／まっすぐに against them as such.
"Fortunately I didn´t やむを得ず feel too 脅迫してさせるd or put off by that but for sure they are 環境s that wouldn´t 控訴，上告 to everyone."
So much has changed since then that Chadwick said four or five girls were 実験（する）ing when she made a 最近の trip to Whilton Mill.
"I´d never seen that many girls at a karting event and they all had different programmes and 率先s that they were already 伴う／関わるd with," she 追加するd.
COMMERCIAL OPPORTUNITIES
The F1 学院 has five three-car teams run by 決まり文句／製法 Two and Three outfits, with 決まり文句／製法 One teams each having one driver racing in their liveries. Some others race in the colours of sponsors.
"I think the 商業の 適切な時期s of something like F1 学院 are going to be 重要な, 特に with the support of 決まり文句／製法 One," said Chadwick.
"Hopefully that helps whoever´s successful in it to 達成する the 権利 基金ing and support to be able to go through the next levels in the best way possible."
Last year's 勝利者 Spaniard Marta Garcia has moved to a fully-基金d 運動 in the 決まり文句／製法 地域の European 選手権 by Alpine (FRECA), a series below 決まり文句／製法 Three.
Chadwick's 即座の 未来 lies in America, with a move to IndyCar a prime 的 while the IMSA sportscar 選手権 could be another 選択.
In her first year of Indy NXT, she finished 12th. The 的 now is podiums and 勝利，勝つs and she is approaching it with 新たにするd vigour.
"I´ve changed my training a 抱擁する 量," she said.
