Three killed in first 致命的な Houthi attack on Red Sea shipping, CENTCOM says

LONDON, March 6 (Reuters) - A Houthi ミサイル attack killed three seafarers on a Red Sea merchant ship on Wednesday, U.S. Central 命令(する) (CENTCOM) said, the first fatalities 報告(する)/憶測d since the Iran-提携させるd Yemeni group began strikes against shipping in one of the world's busiest 貿易(する) 小道/航路s.

The Houthis (人命などを)奪う,主張するd 責任/義務 for the attack, which 始める,決める the Greek-owned, Barbados-flagged ship True 信用/信任 燃えて around 50 航海の miles off the coast of Yemen's port of Aden.

In an earlier message on X 答える/応じるing to the Houthi (人命などを)奪う,主張する, Britain's 大使館 wrote: "At least 2 innocent sailors have died. This was the sad but 必然的な consequence of the Houthis recklessly 解雇する/砲火/射撃ing ミサイルs at international shipping. They must stop."

The Houthis have been attacking ships in the Red Sea since November in what they say is a (選挙などの)運動をする in 団結 with Palestinians during the war in Gaza.

On Thursday, two of the 犠牲者s were identified as Filipino seafarers by the Philippines' 省 for migrant 労働者s. It said in a 声明 two other Filipinos were 厳しく 負傷させるd in the attack and called for "continued 外交の 成果/努力s to de-増大する 緊張s and to 演説(する)/住所 the 原因(となる)s of the 現在の 衝突 in the Middle East".

Four days ago, the Rubymar, a UK-owned 本体,大部分/ばら積みの 運送/保菌者, became the first ship to 沈む as a result of a Houthi attack, after floating for two weeks with 厳しい 損失 from a ミサイル strike. All 乗組員 were 安全に 避難させるd from that 大型船.

While the 民兵 has said it would attack 大型船s with links to the 部隊d Kingdom, the 部隊d 明言する/公表するs and イスラエル, shi pping 産業 sources say all ships could be at 危険.

The True 信用/信任 is owned by the Liberian-登録(する)d company True 信用/信任 Shipping and operated by the Greece-based Third January 海上の, both companies said in their 共同の 声明. They said the ship had no link to the 部隊d 明言する/公表するs.
