New York to 実験(する) gun-(犯罪,病気などの)発見 systems for city's subway

NEW YORK, March 28 (Reuters) - New York City will begin 実験(する)ing gun-(悪事,秘密などを)発見するing 科学(工学)技術 in a 操縦する program at several subway 駅/配置するs, 市長 Eric Adams said on Thursday.

The 告示 comes after several 狙撃s on the subway system, one of the biggest and busiest in the world, 含むing an argument on a train in March that ended with a man 存在 発射 in the 長,率いる with his own gun.

After a 90-day notice period under city 法律 for new 監視 科学(工学)技術, the New York Police Department will begin 実験(する)ing portable scanning machines at several 駅/配置するs, though Adams did not say which ones.

In Thursday's event at the Fulton Street subway 駅/配置する in lower Manhattan, Adams showed a scanner made by Evolv, a Massachusetts company that makes 安全 科学(工学)技術.

"Today's 告示 is the next step in our 現在進行中の 成果/努力s to keep dangerous 武器s out of our 輸送 system and to 供給する greater mental health services for New Yorkers in 危機," said Adams, a 民主党員 who used to patrol the subway as a police officer.
