FOREX-Dollar climbs as yen, 英貨の／純銀の 下落する; euro off lows for now

TOKYO/SYDNEY, Sept 3 (Reuters) - The dollar hovered at 14-month highs against a basket of major 通貨s on Wednesday, underpinned by stronger-than-推定する／予想するd U.S. data and a resulting rise in 財務省 産する／生じるs.
The 米国紙幣 received その上の support from a sell-off in the yen, which 近づくd a six-year low against its U.S. 相当するもの, and in 英貨の／純銀の, pummelled by opinion 投票s 示唆するing growing support for Scottish independence in a 国民投票 later this month.
The dollar 貿易（する）d 近づく an eight-month high of 105.28 yen . A rise above 105.45 yen would take the dollar to a high not seen since October 2008.
The sell-off in the yen 同時に起こる／一致するd with 新たにするd hopes about a 高度に 心配するd 大臣の地位 change in Japan's behemoth 政府 年金 投資 基金 (GPIF), stirred by the 予測（する） 任命 of 改革（する）-minded Yasuhisa Shiozaki to 長，率いる the 省 that 監督するs the 基金.
予定 to be 発表するd in coming weeks, the GPIF 資産 配分 精密検査する is 推定する／予想するd to see the 基金 move into riskier 資産s 含むing 在庫／株s and foreign 社債s, which could 増加する 需要・要求する for foreign 通貨s.
The 改造（する） is 予定 to be 発表するd later on Wednesday but the likely 指名するs have been 広範囲にわたって discussed in the マスコミ.
The spike in intra-day volatility that jerked dollar/yen out of a 井戸／弁護士席-worn 101-103 範囲 示すs an end to the summer なぎ.
"期待s were 開始するing for the dollar to move higher and 関係者s were waiting for a 誘発する／引き起こす. It was a little surprising to see such a big reaction to Shiozaki's 任命. But for forex market players like us, the 推論する／理由 is not important as long as 通貨s move," said Bart Wakabayashi, 長，率いる of 通貨s at 明言する／公表する Street in Tokyo.
"Large moves in dollar/yen catch the attention of 小売 day 仲買人s, who appear to be showing a 新たにするd 利益／興味 in 貿易（する）ing after the long なぎ. They tend to first enter the market with dollar-buying 貿易（する）s ... They are a 軍隊 to be reckoned with," he said.
The dollar 索引 moved within reach of the 14-month 頂点（に達する） of 83.039 規模d 夜通し after data showed U.S. 製造業の activity 攻撃する，衝突する a 近づく-3-1/2-year high last month and construction spending 回復するd 堅固に in July.
"This only 増強するs our bullish U.S. dollar 見解（をとる） 前提d on a 親族 選ぶ-up in the U.S. economy, some more 前線-end 率 support for the dollar ... as 率s re-price to the Fed's own 予測（する）s," 分析家s at JPMorgan wrote in a 公式文書，認める to （弁護士の）依頼人s.

But euro bulls are likely to tread 慎重に ahead of an ECB 会合 on Thursday, with the market 分裂（する） on whether the central bank will take more 即座の 刺激 steps to 突き破る off デフレ and the 経済的な fallout from the ウクライナ共和国 危機.
