"It's always been a goal of 地雷, to compete in the Ryder Cup," Walker, 35, told Reuters at the PGA 小旅行する's season-ending 小旅行する 選手権. "You have long-条件 goals and you have things you want to do.

"That was 明白に one of them. It's like making the Olympic team. Those are goals that you have to put out there for yourself. I'm really excited to go over (to Scotland)."

In his wildest dreams, though, Walker would never have banked on (人命などを)奪う,主張するing three victories 早期に on in the season to 効果的に 署名/調印する in his 位置/汚点/見つけ出す on the 12-man U.S. team.

"You 勝利,勝つ that first one, and then you 勝利,勝つ the Sony (Open)," smiled Walker. "And then you 勝利,勝つ the next one (the Pebble Beach 国家の プロの/賛成の-Am), and you're like, 'Wow, this is get ting to be a very possible thing'.

"It was just a 事柄 of a few things that led to a couple of big things."

In 新規加入 to his three 勝利,勝つs on the 2013-14 PGA 小旅行する, Walker has taken 広大な/多数の/重要な satisfaction from his 全体にわたる consistency 同様に as his strong 業績/成果s in ゴルフ's エリート tournaments.

Walker, who tied for eighth at the Masters, 株d ninth place at the U.S. Open and finished 共同の seventh at the PGA 選手権, has had little time to think about the Ryder Cup o ver the past four weeks.

"We've all been concentrating on the FedExCup プレーオフs, and this week's season-ending event," he said. "But I've already talked to a couple guys and they say that 勝利,勝つ or lose, the Ryder Cup is one of the best weeks in our profession.

"It's going to be a special week and I'm excited about it."

Asked how much he felt the Americans would be 動機づけるd at Gleneagles by their 素晴らしい loss in the 2012 Ryder Cup at Medinah, Walker replied: "It will work for the guys that were there, I think.

"Losing the Ryder Cup is something you don't want to experience and that was the 感情 表明するd at a team dinner we had the other night."
