Canada 確認するs new 事例／患者 of mad cow 病気, cattle prices rise

OTTAWA/CALGARY, Feb 13 (Reuters) - Canada 確認するd its first 事例／患者 of mad cow 病気 since 2011 on Friday, but said the 発見 should not 攻撃する，衝突する a beef 輸出（する） 部門 価値（がある） C$2 billion ($1.6 billion) a year.
The news, however, helped 上げる U.S. cattle prices.
The Canadian Food 査察 機関 (CFIA) said no part of the animal, a beef cow from Alberta, had reached the human food or animal 料金d systems.
Mad cow 病気, 正式に known as bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), is a 進歩／革新的な, 致命的な neurological 病気. It is thought that the 病気 can be transmitted to people from food made from cows sick with BSE.
"The CFIA is 捜し出すing to 確認する the age of the animal, its history and how it became 感染させるd. The 調査 will 焦点（を合わせる） in on the 料金d 供給（する）d to this animal during the first year of its life," the 機関 said.

Asked whether he was 関心d about 輸出（する）s 存在 害（を与える）d, 農業 大臣 Gerry Ritz told reporters in Calgary: "Not at this time, no."
