Faulkner 確信して Australia can finish off India

By Julian Linden

SYDNEY, March 23 (Reuters) - James Faulkner has built a 評判 as Australia's best finisher, the man who can always be relied on to get the team across the line in a tight finish.

Faulkner hasn't done that so far in the World Cup. 負傷させるd just before the tournament started, he 行方不明になるd Australia's first three matches and has been slowly working his way 支援する to 十分な fitness.

So far, it hasn't 事柄d. The Australians have made it through to the 半分-決勝戦 without too much fuss, but the hard work has only just begun.

Australia's next 対抗者 is India, the defending world 支持する/優勝者s. It is a match too の近くに to call and Faulkner could be the 重要な.

にもかかわらず his 欠如(する) of time at the crease, the 24-year-old is 確信して he can 選ぶ up where he left off and start 得点する/非難する/20ing runs again.

"I've spent a fair bit of time in the 逮捕するs now, I feel like I'm ready to go," he told a news 会議/協議会 at the Sydney Cricket ground on Monday.

"As a batting group, we're playing やめる nicely at the moment."

But Faulkner's most important 役割 may not be with the bat but with the ball. One of the three left-arm 急速な/放蕩な bowlers in the Australian team, he played a pivotal 役割 in Australia's pool 勝利,勝つ over Sri Lanka at the SCG.

He bagged three wickets, 含むing the 決定的な scalp of Kumar Sangakkara, and knows bowling could 証明する 決定的な on a pitch t hat has produced high 得点する/非難する/20s all summer.

"I'm 推定する/予想するing a lot of runs," he said.

"If you look at the past, between India and Australia, whether we played them over there or in Australia, you've seen a lot of runs and I think that will happen come game day."

The Australians and Indians have been playing each other all summer, with the World Cup に引き続いて on from their four-match 実験(する) series and the その後の tri-nation 限られた/立憲的な-overs tournament also 伴う/関わるing England.

The Australians have 支配するd so far but Faulkner said the prospect of making a World Cup final would leave both teams a little jittery.

"I think everyone's going to be nervous in their own little way and it's up to them how they want to を取り引きする it," Faulkner said.

"I think you could see a lot of 神経s were on show a couple of nights ago (during the 4半期/4分の1-決勝戦) and I think that's good.

"Both teams are exposed and I think if you don't have 神経s, you have 問題/発行するs."

Faulkner said he was 確信して Australia would 支配(する)/統制する their emotions under any circumstances, even when chasing 負かす/撃墜する a 抱擁する 的.

"You definitely have to have the belief, no 事柄 what the total is that you're chasing," he said.

"It's all about your start, whether you're chasing or whether you're setting, if you start 井戸/弁護士席 with bat and ball more times than not you're going to 結局最後にはーなる in a position in the last 10 or 15 overs when you have a 割れ目 at chasing a big total." (Editing by Amlan Chakraborty)
