White Othello speaks Sicilian dialect in Rome 生産／産物

ROME, March 23 (Reuters) - Actor and director Luigi Lo Cascio says he "stripped the flesh" from Shakespeare's 広大な／多数の／重要な 悲劇 Othello for his new 見解／翻訳／版, with a pared-負かす／撃墜する cast and a white-skinned Moor speaking Sicilian dialect.
The 生産／産物 dispenses with sailors, officers, attendants, family members and the young 中尉／大尉／警部補 whose 推定するd love 事件／事情／状勢 with Othello's wife Desdemona leads the debased general to 殺人 her under the 影響（力） of his devious ensign Iago.
Only Othello, Iago and Desdemona remain, joined by a 兵士 of Lo Cascio's 発明 who guides the story like the chorus in classical 演劇, and 肉体的に raises the curtain on one scene.
Iago, portrayed by Lo Cascio himself, Vincenzo Pirrotta's Othello and the 兵士 Ludovico, played by Giovanni Calcagno, all speak Sicilian dialect -- a 際立った language with the same roots as Italian that can be impenetrable to 部外者s.
