WASHINGTON, March 23 (Reuters) - U.S. 知能 機関s in June will stop 本体，大部分／ばら積みの collection of data on calls by U.S. telephone 加入者s, unless 議会 延長するs a 法律 権限を与えるing the 秘かに調査するing, U.S. 公式の／役人s said on Monday.

The 法律, 予定 to 満了する／死ぬ on June 1, 許すs the NSA to collect 本体，大部分／ばら積みの data on numbers called and the time and length of calls, but not their content.

NSC 広報担当者 Ned Price told Reuters the 行政 had decided to stop 本体，大部分／ばら積みの collection of 国内の call metadata unless 議会 re-権限を与えるs it.
Some 合法的な 専門家s have 示唆するd that even if 議会 does not 延長する the 法律 the 行政 might be able to 納得させる the Foreign 知能 監視 法廷，裁判所 to 権限を与える collection under other 当局.
Price made （疑いを）晴らす the 行政 does not ーするつもりである to do so. The 行政 is encouraging 議会 to 制定する 法律制定 in the coming weeks that would 許す collection to continue.
"If Section 215 (of the 法律 which covers the collection) sunsets, we will not continue the 本体，大部分／ばら積みの telephony metadata program," he said.
"許すing Section 215 to sunset would result in the loss, going 今後, of a 批判的な 国家の 安全 道具 that is used in a variety of 付加 状況s that do not 伴う／関わる the collection of 本体，大部分／ばら積みの data."
Last year the 行政 提案するd that if collection continued, the data should be 蓄える／店d by telephone companies rather than the NSA. The companies 拒絶するd that approach.
