Iraq 回復するs ground from Islamic 明言する／公表する; 集まり deaths 報告（する）／憶測d in Palmyra
BAGHDAD/BEIRUT, May 24 (Reuters) - Iraqi 軍隊s 再度捕まえるd 領土 from 前進するing Islamic 明言する／公表する 交戦的なs 近づく the recently-fallen city of Ramadi on Sunday, while in Syria the 政府 said the Islamists had killed hundreds of people since 逮捕（する）ing the town of Palmyra.
The 落ちる of Ramadi and Palmyra, on opposite ends of the 広大な 領土 controlled by Islamic 明言する／公表する 闘士，戦闘機s, were the 交戦的な group's biggest successes since a U.S.-led 連合 開始する，打ち上げるd an 空気／公表する war to stop them last year.
The 近づく 同時の victories against the Iraqi and Syrian armies have 軍隊d Washington to 診察する its 戦略, which 伴う／関わるs 爆破 from the 空気／公表する but leaving fighting on the ground to 地元の 軍隊s in both countries.
In a sharp 批評 of Washington's 同盟（する）, U.S. 弁護 長官 Ashton Carter （刑事）被告 Iraq's army of abandoning Ramadi, a 地方の 資本／首都 west of Baghdad, to a much smaller enemy 軍隊.
"The Iraqi 軍隊s just showed no will to fight," he told CNN's 明言する／公表する of the Union programme. "They vastly より数が多いd the …に反対するing 軍隊, and yet they withdrew from the 場所／位置."

"Today we 回復するd 支配（する）／統制する over Husaiba and are laying 計画（する）s to make more 前進するs to 押し進める 支援する Daesh 闘士，戦闘機s その上の," said 地元の 部族の leader Amir al-Fahdawi, using an Arabic acronym for Islamic 明言する／公表する, also known in English as ISIS or ISIL.
"The 意気込み／士気 of the (プロの／賛成の-政府) 闘士，戦闘機s is high after the arrival of 増強s and 負担s of 弾薬／武器," Fahdawi said. "Today's 前進する will 速度(を上げる） up the clock for a major 前進する to 回復する 支配（する）／統制する of Ramadi."
計画（する）s were 爆破 Islamic 明言する／公表する positions on the opposite bank of the Euphrates river, where the 交戦的なs were 開始する，打ち上げるing 迫撃砲s and 狙撃者 解雇する／砲火／射撃 to 妨げる the プロの／賛成の-政府 軍隊s 前進するing, Fahdawi and the police major said.
MASS EXECUTIONS
Days after taking Ramadi, Islamic 明言する／公表する also 敗北・負かすd 軍隊s of the Syrian 政府 of 大統領 Bashar al-Assad to 逮捕（する） Palmyra, home to 50,000 people and 場所／位置 of some of the world's most 広範囲にわたる and best-保存するd Roman 廃虚s.
The 闘士，戦闘機s have killed at least 400 people, 含むing women and children in Palmyra since 逮捕（する）ing the 古代の Syrian city four days ago, Syrian 明言する／公表する マスコミ said on Sunday.
It was not すぐに possible to 立証する that account, but it was 一貫した with 報告（する）／憶測s by 行動主義者s that the Islamist 闘士，戦闘機s had carried out 死刑執行s, leaving hundreds of 団体／死体s in the streets.

"The テロリストs have killed more than 400 people ... and mutilated their 団体／死体s, under the pretext that they 協力するd with the 政府 and did not follow orders," Syria's 明言する／公表する news 機関 said, 特記する／引用するing 居住（者）s inside the city.
Many of those killed were 明言する／公表する 従業員s, 含むing the 長，率いる of the nursing department at the hospital and all her family members, it said.
Islamic 明言する／公表する 支持者s have 地位，任命するd ビデオs on the Internet they say show 闘士，戦闘機s going room to room in Palmyra's 政府 buildings, searching for hiding 軍隊／機動隊s and pulling 負かす／撃墜する pictures of Assad and his father.
The Syrian 観測所 for Human 権利s, which 監視するs 暴力／激しさ in the country with a 網状組織 of sources on the ground, says beheadings have taken place in the town since it fell but has not given an 見積（る） for the （死傷者）数 の中で 非軍事のs.
It says at least 300 兵士s were killed in the days of fighting before the city was 逮捕（する）d.
"A bigger number of 軍隊／機動隊s have disappeared and it is not （疑いを）晴らす where they are," Rami Abdulrahman from the 観測所 told Reuters.
SETBACKS
Washington supports the 政府 of Iraq but is …に反対するd to Assad's 政府 in Syria, making it more difficult to build a 統一するd 連合 against Islamic 明言する／公表する, the most powerful 軍隊 の中で Sunni Arabs in multi-味方するd civil wars in both countries.
In Iraq, 政府 軍隊s and Iran-支援するd Shi'ite 民兵 前進するd against the Sunni 交戦的なs north of Baghdad in the Tigris river valley earlier this year, 再度捕まえるing former 独裁者 Saddam Hussein's home city of Tikrit.
But the insurg ents 答える／応じるd by going on the 不快な／攻撃 west of Baghdad in the valley of Iraq's other 広大な／多数の／重要な river, the Euphrates, の中で the most hotly fought areas during the 2003-2011 U.S. 占領／職業.
