Aug 30 (The Sports Xchange) - Oakland's Pat Venditte took a piece of history away from his first Major League victory Sunday.
The switch 投手 threw two scoreless innings in the 運動競技のs' 7-4 勝利，勝つ over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday at Chase Field, 利益ing when shortstop Marcus Semien's two-run 選び出す／独身 broke a tie with two outs in the 11th inning.
"To get this first one was very special," Venditte said. "I'm sure it will 沈む in somewhere on that flight now, but 権利 now we are just happy to get that 勝利，勝つ today."
Venditte, 29, began pitching with both 手渡すs at age three with his father's 激励, and he became the first true switch 投手 in the modern 時代 when he joined the A's in June.
