Bentleys and Bordeaux: Chinese newcomers 運動 Vancouver's 高級な market

VANCOUVER, Oct 14 (Reuters) - At a 高級な car dealership in Vancouver, a 19-year-old college student recently 貿易（する）d in his 2014 Ferrari for a 2016 Bentley that cost C$350,000 ($268,446).
MCL モーター Cars 経営者／支配人 Scott 過密な住居 says the teen was his typical 顧客: young, Chinese and eager to 交換（する） a 比較して new car for an even newer, trendier model.
"They don't mind taking a C$75,000 攻撃する，衝突する," he said, 公式文書，認めるing that some brand-極度の慎重さを要する teens change cars every few months. "They just 貿易（する） them in and dad puts the money in their account."
While Vancouver is often called the gateway to Asia and has been a 最高の，を越す 目的地 for 豊富な Chinese 移民，移住（する）s for some time, the boon for 高級な retailers this year is 特に noteworthy given the summer 急落（する），激減（する） in the Chinese 株式市場 and 大統領 Xi Jinping's （選挙などの）運動をする against 汚職.

But 割れ目s could be starting to show. Detached home sales 容積／容量s in the city of Vancouver fell 41 パーセント from June to September, with listings 負かす／撃墜する just 3 パーセント, the largest 減少（する） in sales for that period since 2008.
Real 広い地所 スパイ／執行官 Tom Gradecak, who sells on Vancouver's 豊富な westside, says it "feels" like the market has slowed, but prices have not dropped yet.
"It could be the Chinese 株式市場 - probably is - but it could just be a bit of a breather from an insane first part of the year," he said, 追加するing that he just sold a home for C$300,000 over the asking price with seven competing 申し込む／申し出s.

But the ostentatious 陳列する，発揮するs of wealth by Chinese 移民，移住（する）s have created 緊張 in Vancouver, a city known for its eco-friendliness and yoga culture.
A blog called "University of Beautiful Cars," a play on the University of British Columbia, 地位，任命するs photos of 高級な 乗り物s parked on campus with snarky comments like "struggling Vancouver student needs new Porsche."
And there has been （激しい）反発 from faculty and students who say they cannot afford to live on the leafy campus 予定 to high price of condos on University land, which start at more than C$400,000 for small 部隊s and are ひどく markete d in 中国.
Indeed, foreign 買い手s are 広範囲にわたって 非難するd by 地元のs for the stratospheric rise in 住宅 costs in Vancouver, where the median condo sold for C$495,866 in September and detached home 需要・要求するd C$2.02 million, up 60 パーセント from September 2010.
STOCKING THE WINE CELLAR

From 2005 to 2010, the program attracted more than 57,000 豊富な individuals to Canada, with about 30,000 arriving in British Columbia. 研究 has shown that many of those who landed どこかよそで quickly moved to the west coast 州, attracted by Vancouver's 最高の，を越す-階級d schools, pristine 環境, and long-設立するd Asian community.
The influx helped to attract upscale department 蓄える／店s like Nordstrom Inc and high-end retailer Simons, and 燃料 the 拡大 of 高級な department 蓄える／店 Holt Renfrew.

"I've done million-dollar 取引，協定s with nothing but 手渡す signals," said Bendtsen, laughing off the language 障壁s she still occasionally 遭遇（する）s.
Bendtsen said her （弁護士の）依頼人s, frequently women whose husbands remain in 中国, 雇う 知らせる to outfit entire homes in Vancouver, 中国 and around the world.

One woman, who did not identify herself, was frantically searching the crates for 非常に／多数の expensive 瓶／封じ込めるs and ended up buying nearly C$19,000 価値（がある） of ワイン.
Another woman, who gave her 指名する as Vivian, （機の）カム 武装した with a 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） of requests from her husband, who spends most of his time working abroad but 持続するs a ワイン cellar in their Vancouver home for when he visits.
"I don't know anything about ワイン," she said, gesturing to her 選択 of 瓶／封じ込めるs. "My husband 選ぶd it up as a hobby."
Peter Wang, a Vancouver-based ワイン 顧問 who （機の）カム with a newcomer couple from 本土／大陸 中国, said his friends had spent the night in line to 確実にする they would be able to get a rare $2,800 Chateau Petrus and a $1,200 瓶／封じ込める of Chateau Lafite Rothschild, both from the Pomerol 地域 of フラン.
