Mauritania 逮捕(する)s nine anti-slavery 行動主義者s

NOUAKCHOTT, July 3 (Reuters) - Mauritanian 当局 have 逮捕(する)d nine anti-slavery 行動主義者s and (刑事)被告 them of starting a 暴動 in which several police officers were 負傷させるd and a bus was 燃やすd, 行動主義者 leaders said on Sunday.

The 逮捕(する)s were an 試みる/企てる to use the 暴動 in Nouakchott to discredit the 率先 for the Resurgence of the Abolitionist Movement (アイルランド共和国軍) movement, its 調整者/コーディネーター Issa Ould Aliyine told a news 会議/協議会.

The 暴動 on Wednesday started when police moved 無断占拠者s from the Haratin 民族の group, many of them former slaves, from an area they have 占領するd 不法に for 10年間s, said Cheikh Sid'Ahmed Ould Sidi, the prefect of Ksar where the 衝突/不一致 took place.

The Haratin, Mauritania's main "slave caste", are descended from 民族の groups along the Senegal river. They often work as cattle herders and 国内の servants.
