St Moritz, Switzerland, Feb 7 (Reuters) - With the Winter Olympics just a year away, Europe's broadcast 権利s 支えるもの/所有者 is dangling a host of 科学技術の 打開s - from "ghost スキーヤーs" to 業績/成果 patches - which it says will 高める the 演劇 of the Pyeongchang Games.

Feb. 9 示すs the one year countdown to the South Korean Games, and Eurosport CEO Peter Hutton says the sports 放送者 will spend that year continuing to 実験(する) new 科学(工学)技術 as it looks to revolutionize ニュース報道.

"支配する to all the 是認s from 連合s and the International Olympic 委員会, I'm 希望に満ちた we will be able to use some very 冷静な/正味の 科学(工学)技術 to bring more data to the sports than ever before," Hutton told Reuters on the sidelines of the World Skiing 選手権s.

"We've seen 実験(する)s of patches which show not only heart 率 and positioning of 競技者s, but can also show how tired an 競技者 is, or how much 力/強力にする they are using.

"These patches 料金d data direct to テレビ視聴者s, or to commentators which can make sport more 理解できる... more 劇の."

Hutton said he was 確信して the 科学(工学)技術 would 示す a big leap 今後 for sports テレビ視聴者s and that he had held 会談 with sports 連合s eager to harness the data for themselves.

"Some of this data is really 革命の, the challenge now is knowing what to do wi th it, how to use it to tell stories."

One of the most 説得力のある 科学(工学)技術s 存在 実験(する)d is the use of "ghost スキーヤー" graphics 描写するing the last run, or quickest run so far, to compare with the スキーヤー on the course.

"It is not as 平易な as you might think... everything happens so quickly," 生産/産物 長,率いる Arnaud Simon told Reuters.

"With the human 注目する,もくろむ it is very, very difficult to be able to tell who is doing better or who is 主要な. But with 科学(工学)技術 we can show many 面s from a スキーヤーs 速度(を上げる) to their acceleration."

Hutton says the "ghost スキーヤー" could transform the 見解(をとる)ing experience in a way 類似の to the world 記録,記録的な/記録する line 存在 beamed の上に swimming races.

"It 即時に puts the 業績/成果 in 状況," he said.

最初, the 科学(工学)技術 would have to be voluntary, Hutton said, but the Paris-based Englishman does not see that as a 障壁.

"We have seen cyclists asking for 科学(工学)技術 to be put on their bikes, he laughed. "Because it puts them centre 行う/開催する/段階 in the story... and typically 競技者s like to be centre 行う/開催する/段階."

Eurosport, through parent company 発見 Communications, bought the 排除的 多数伝達媒体を用いる 権利s to broadcasting the Olympics in some 50 countries and 領土s in Europe in a 1.3 billion Euros ($1.37 billion) 取引,協定 which began on Jan. 1 and takes them through to the 2024 オリンピック.
