Yemen 開始する，打ち上げるs polio ワクチン接種 運動 まっただ中に 恐れるs 病気 could 再現する

LONDON, Feb 21 (Thomson Reuters 創立／基礎) - Yemen has 開始する，打ち上げるd a major polio ワクチン接種 （選挙などの）運動をする まっただ中に 恐れるs the 病気 could 再現する in the war-荒廃させるd nation where the health system is on the 瀬戸際 of 崩壊（する） and 援助（する） 機関s are 警告 of 飢饉.
The World Health Organization (世界保健機構), which is supporting the 運動, said some 40,000 health 労働者s 目的（とする）d to immunise more than 5 million children under the age of five across the country.
"The 脅し of (polio) ウイルス 輸入 is serious and this （選挙などの）運動をする 目的（とする）s to 抑制（する） any possible return of the ウイルス to Yemen," 世界保健機構's 代表者／国会議員 in Yemen, Nevio Zagaria, said in a 声明.
Polio, which spreads quickly の中で children and can 原因（となる） irreversible paralysis within hours, remains endemic in only three countries - Afghanistan, Pakistan and Nigeria.
Yemen was 宣言するd polio-解放する／自由な in 2009, but 専門家s say 衝突-影響する／感情d countries are 特に at 危険 of 突発／発生s because of disruption to their health systems.
世界保健機構's 広報担当者 on polio eradication, Sona Bari, said both Syria and Iraq saw polio 突発／発生s a few years ago.
"This is why the (Yemen) （選挙などの）運動をする at this time is 極端に important," she told the Thomson Reuters 創立／基礎 by phone from Geneva.
"We have been very lucky that polio hasn't shown up in Yemen, but it is a ウイルス that travels very easily and is very good at finding unprotected children."
The immunisation 運動, which began on Monday, had been scheduled for last September, but insecurity has 妨害するd 接近.
The ワクチン接種 teams will also 的 high-危険 groups 含むing families uprooted from their homes by fighting and 難民s who have fled to Yemen from 衝突s in Africa.
Around 2 million people are 追い出すd in Yemen where nearly two years of civil war has pitted the Iran-連合した Houthi group against a Western-支援するd Arab 連合 led by Saudi Arabia.
The U.N. children's 機関 UNICEF, which is als o helping with the ワクチン接種s, 警告するd on Tuesday of ぼんやり現れるing 飢饉 in Yemen where nearly half a million children have 厳しい 激烈な／緊急の 栄養不良.
Bari said there was a 危険 that polio ワクチンs would not be 効果的な in 栄養失調の children 苦しむing from diarrhoea because they would be 紅潮／摘発するd out.
She said 世界保健機構 was also worried about the 危険s of polio 現れるing in countries in the Lake Chad 水盤／入り江, Syria, Iraq, Somalia and South Sudan.
