Macron 公約するs to step up French fight against Islamists in Africa

GAO, Mali, May 19 (Reuters) - フラン will step up the fight against resurgent Islamist 交戦的なs in north and west Africa and will work more closely with Germany to help the tinderbox 地域, 大統領 Emmanuel Macron said on his first trip outside Europe on Friday.
Visiting Mali days after taking office, Macron 公約するd to keep French 軍隊／機動隊s in the Sahel 地域 until there was "no more Islamist テロ行為" there. He said 操作／手術s would be 増大するd in 返答 to 調印するs that 交戦的な groups were 再編成するing and 部隊ing.
"It is 決定的な today that we 速度(を上げる） up. Our 武装した 軍隊s are giving their all, but we must 速度(を上げる） up" 成果／努力s to 安全な・保証する the Sahel, he told a news 会議／協議会 in Gao, Mali, where he held 会談 with 大統領 Ibrahim Boubacar Keita and spoke to some of the 1,600 French 兵士s based there.
Spurring 経済的な 開発 in the 貧窮化した Sahel is also part of his 戦略, he said. "We must 勝利，勝つ the war and 勝利，勝つ the peace at the same time."

MACRON WANTS EUROPEAN ALLIES TO PITCH IN
While フラン would continue to shoulder the 軍の 重荷（を負わせる） of fighting 交戦的なs in north and west Africa, Macron said Germany and other European nations could do more to help with both 軍の and 開発 援助（する）.
He said he had discussed Mali with German （ドイツなどの）首相／（大学の）学長 Angela Merkel in Berlin on Monday and the two decided to "強化する our 協調 その上の to help the countries of the 地域.
