Panic buttons and apps come to 救助（する） of 年輩の Indians 苦しむing 乱用

MUMBAI, June 23 (Thomson Reuters 創立／基礎) - Police, 支持するs and entrepreneurs have 開始する，打ち上げるd 動きやすい apps and panic buttons to 報告（する）／憶測 乱用 against the 年輩の in India, where the number of older people living alone has risen, yet talking about their 虐待 remains タブー.
India has a tradition of honouring older people, and of multi-generational families living together. But with urbanisation, 核の families and rising longevity, more 年輩の people are living by themselves or in care homes.
Nearly half the 年輩の people 調査するd by 非，不，無-利益（をあげる） HelpAge India said they had experienced 乱用, both at home and in public, with more women 説 they had 苦しむd some form of 虐待.
Growing 認識／意識性 of 年輩の 乱用 has led to a host of new apps and 科学（工学）技術s for the 年輩の or people who 証言，証人／目撃する the 乱用 to call for help.
"It is unfortunate that we need such a 解答, but that is the reality today," said Prasad Bhide, 創立者 of Aaji (meaning "grandmother") Care, a 動きやすい and web-based service that has 開始する，打ち上げるd a remote 監視 system.
Aaji Care 申し込む／申し出s a physical panic button, which calls five phone numbers, 含むing the company itself in an 緊急.
Bhide said he is also working on a smart 装置 the 年輩の can use easily and 慎重に to 召喚する help when needed.
India has more than 104 million people 老年の 60 and older, によれば 公式の／役人 data. The 年輩の are 予測（する） to （不足などを）補う a fifth of the country's total 全住民 by 2050.

Police in Mumbai keep a 記録，記録的な／記録する of 年輩の people living by themselves, and recently 開始する，打ち上げるd ElderLine, a helpline that connects older people with volunteer doctors, hospitals, counsellors, social 労働者s and police.
Police 接触するd by the GPS-based 跡をつけるing and 派遣（する） system send appropriate 援助 to the 報知係's 場所.
A growing number of 動きやすい app services catering to the 年輩の - such as in-home nursing and physiotherapy - are also 追加するing features to help people 報告（する）／憶測 乱用.
HelpAge India 開始する，打ち上げるd an SOS 動きやすい app after its 調査するs showed a rise in 年輩の 乱用.
The absence of 福利事業 safety 逮捕するs for the 年輩の makes them 扶養家族 on their families and caregivers, and therefore more 攻撃を受けやすい to 乱用, said Manjira Khurana, 長，率いる of advocacy and communications at the 非，不，無-利益（をあげる）.
Of the 回答者／被告s who said they 直面するd 乱用, more than 40 パーセント did not 報告（する）／憶測 it.
HelpAge's app （犯罪の）一味s its helpline and is a "one-click, 平易な 接近 緊急 service", Khurana said.
"It is a way for the 年輩の to 報告（する）／憶測 乱用 easily, or for others to do so," she said, 公式文書，認めるing a 殺到する in calls to the helpline after the app was 開始する，打ち上げるd.
