FOREX-Dollar at eight-week low vs yen as North Korea 緊張s simmer

NEW YORK, Aug 10 (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar slipped to an eight-week low against the Japanese yen on Thursday as continuing 緊張s between the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs and North Korea led 投資家s to look for 資産s 見解（をとる）d as いっそう少なく risky.
The dollar was 負かす／撃墜する 0.53 パーセント against the yen at 109.48 yen, after 簡潔に dropping as low as 109.53. The Japanese 通貨 決起大会／結集させるd 概して against most major 通貨s, 含むing the euro, the kiwi and 英貨の／純銀の.
"The yen is the big story really. 危険 aversion is still very much a 関心 for markets," said Shaun Osborne, 長，指導者 通貨 strategist, at Scotiabank in Toronto.
The スイスの フラン and the yen had notched up impressive 伸び（る）s against the dollar on Wednesday after U.S. 大統領 Donald Trump 警告するd North Korea that it would 直面する "解雇する／砲火／射撃 and fury" if it 脅すd the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs.
That 誘発するd North Korea to say it was considering 解雇する／砲火／射撃ing ミサイルs 近づく Guam, a U.S. 太平洋の island 領土.
The yen is often sought in times of geopolitical 緊張, partly because Japan has a big 経常収支 黒字／過剰, and it 存在 the world's biggest creditor nation, there is an 仮定／引き受けること Japanese 投資家s may 本国に送還する their foreign holdings in times of 高くする，増すd 全世界の 不確定.
The dollar 弱めるd after news that U.S. 生産者 prices 突然に fell in July, 記録，記録的な／記録するing their biggest 減少（する） in nearly a year and pointing to a その上の moderation in インフレーション that could 延期する a 連邦の Reserve 利益／興味 率 増加する.

On Thursday, New York Fed 大統領 William Dudley said he 推定する／予想するs 不振の U.S. インフレーション to rise over the next several months while the hot labor market gets even hotter.
The dollar 索引, which 跡をつけるs the 米国紙幣 against six 競争相手 通貨s, 辛勝する／優位d higher after Dudley's comments and was up 0.03 perc ent to 93.577.
The euro was 0.18 パーセント lower against the 米国紙幣 but remains the best-成し遂げるing G10 通貨 so far this year with 伸び（る）s of more than 11 パーセント against the dollar.
The New Zealand dollar was 0.79 lower against the 米国紙幣 after New Zealand's central bank said it was わずかに more uncomfortable with the high level of the 地元の dollar than it had been in May.
