Tokyo Gov Koike leaves door open for 与党 PM 地位，任命する 選挙
TOKYO, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Tokyo 知事 Yuriko Koike does not 推定する／予想する her new 保守党 to 選ぶ a 候補者 for 首相 during the （選挙などの）運動をする for the Oct. 22 選挙, leaving the door open to 結局 支援 a 国会議員 from 総理大臣 Shinzo Abe's party.
Koike's new Party of Hope has 現れるd as a serious challenge to Abe's 自由主義の Democratic Party 支持者 base, but she has said she would not 本人自身で contest the 選挙.
Abe called the snap 選挙 last month in hopes his 判決，裁定 圏 would keep its 大多数 in 議会's lower house, where it now has a two-thirds "最高の" 大多数.
Losing a simple 大多数 would be a major 予期しない upset, but a poor 業績／成果 by the 自由民主党 could put 圧力 on Abe to step 負かす／撃墜する.
Asked in an interview published on Saturday by the Asahi newspaper whether Koike's party would 選ぶ a 候補者 for 首相 from its own 階級s during the 選挙, she replied: "基本的に, no."
The （選挙などの）運動をする kicks off 正式に on Oct. 11.
Koike, 65, a former defence 大臣 and ex-member of Abe's 自由民主党, told Reuters on Friday that all 選択s were on the （米）棚上げする／（英）提議する regarding whom her party would 支援する when 議会 会を召集するs to 投票（する） on a 首相 after the 選挙.
"We need to see the results (of the 選挙). We must 保護する this country and at the same time, we must change it," Koike told Reuters.
"We will decide after the 選挙 after 確認するing the 傾向 in which our Party of Hope can 達成する this."
In the interview with the Asahi, Koike 賞賛するd former defence 大臣 Shigeru Ishiba, whom she 支援するd in a 2012 自由民主党 leadership race won by Abe, and 称讃するd 内部の 事件／事情／状勢s 大臣 Seiko Noda for her work on に代わって of handicapped people.
Ishiba has criticised Abe on several 前線s 含むing his 提案 to 改訂する the 戦後の 憲法's 平和主義者 Article 9 by 明らかにするing the status of the 軍の. Ishiba says Abe's 提案 does not go far enough.< /p>
