FOREX-U.S. 職業s data 重要な for a lacklustre dollar

LONDON, Nov 3 (Reuters) - The dollar drifted sideways on Friday after a week of losses, as markets waited for U.S. 職業s data to shake the 通貨 out of 最近の 範囲s, with some market 分析家s 説 the 通貨 may have 頂点(に達する)d for now.

The Australian dollar was the big loser of the day, 落ちるing half a パーセント after disappointing 小売 sales data. The British 続けざまに猛撃する dropped to a one-month low after 急落(する),激減(する)ing on Thursday.

The market showed little reaction to U.S. 大統領 Donald Trump's 任命 on Thursday of Jerome Powell, a Fed 知事, to lead the U.S. central bank. That broke with precedent by 否定するing 現職の Janet Yellen a second 称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 but signalled a 延長/続編 of her 用心深い 通貨の 政策s .

"I think the Powell news was not really a surprise for markets, who have been 推定する/予想するing this, but we think the dollar may have 攻撃する,衝突する a short-称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 頂点(に達する) for now in the absence of any upside data surprises," said Lutz Karpowitz, an FX strategist at Commerzbank in Frankfurt.

The next big data 解放(する) comes later today. The U.S. 非,不,無-farm payrolls 報告(する)/憶測 is 推定する/予想するd to show 職業 numbers bounced 支援する in October after September's 減少(する).

Against a 幅の広い basket of 通貨s, the dollar 辛勝する/優位d 0.1 パーセント higher to 94.817, up from a one-week low of 94.411 始める,決める on Thursday.

The Australian dollar slipped half a パーセント to $0.7651 , coming under 圧力 after data showed that 小売 sales were flat in September. That was below market 期待s for a rise of 0.4 パーセント on the month.

英貨の/純銀の continued to 落ちる after 苦しむing its biggest one-day 落ちる against the dollar since June on Thursday, when the Bank of England raised 利益/興味 率s for the first time in more than a 10年間 but said it sees only 漸進的な rises ahead.

英貨の/純銀の fell 0.2 パーセント to $1.3040, its lowest since Oct. 6, after losing 1.4 パーセント on Thursday.

Morgan Stanley strategists said the prospect of more U.S. 率 増加するs next year would put 圧力 on 通貨s such as the Australian dollar and 英貨の/純銀の, since 世帯s in those countries have racked up large 負債s in 最近の years.

"As the Fed continues to raise 利益/興味 率s, these 基金ing costs will rise, if not 補償するd by lower borrowing costs in their home 通貨," Morgan Stanley strategists said in a 公式文書,認める.
