McKinsey worked with S.African 会社／堅い after learning of Gupta links - sources

JOHANNESBURG, Nov 3 (Reuters) - 全世界の consultancy McKinsey worked with a 会社／堅い in South Africa for four months after learning it was controlled by the Gupta brothers, 商売／仕事 friends of 大統領 Jacob Zuma （刑事）被告 of 汚職, four sources familiar with the 取引，協定 said.
Their comments 否定する マスコミ 声明s by McKinsey that it 中止するd work with the 会社／堅い, 地元の consultancy Trillian, in March 2016 -- after 予定 diligence by 外部の 顧問s showed the links to the Gupta family, （刑事）被告 by South Africa's anti-汚職 監視者 of siphoning public 基金s.
McKinsey, which says it never 調印するd a separate 契約 with Trillian, also ignored 警告s by 上級の staff in South Africa not to partner Trillian in a 取引，協定 to advise 明言する／公表する 公共事業（料金）／有用性 Eskom which is 存在 調査／捜査するd for 詐欺, the sources said. The 上級の staff were troubled by Eskom's 需要・要求する that Trillian must be 伴う／関わるd in the 取引，協定 にもかかわらず having little experience.
It then took a year for McKinsey to 行為／法令／行動する on calls for an 内部の 調査 into the 関係 with Trillian, the sources said.
Two of McKinsey's 全世界の directors -- Europe-based Pal Erik Sjatil and Africa 長，指導者 Georges Desvaux -- and South African office 長，率いる Saf Yeboah-Amankwah told 関心d partners the 状況／情勢 was "under 支配（する）／統制する", three former McKinsey 従業員s said.
Six sources with direct knowledge of the 事柄 -- four former McKinsey 従業員s and two 現在の 従業員s -- said there was no 調査 until July 2017. McKinsey 拒絶する／低下するd to comment on this 主張.
Sjatil and Desvaux were on McKinsey's 株主 会議, its highest leadership 団体／死体.

HOPES FOR A "SOLUTION"
Eskom had told McKinsey it must use Trillian as a partner to 安全な・保証する the "turnaround" 契約 under a 黒人／ボイコット empowerment programme, but by July it had become （疑いを）晴らす that McKinsey would not 調印する a formal 契約 with it.

McKinsey said in its email to Reuters that Eskom knew Trillian would not be McKinsey's partner and 追加するd: "Any questions about why Trillian remained at Eskom (after March 2016) and what they did, should be directed to Eskom.
