Venezuelan 軍の 見捨てる人/脱走兵s willing to return to fight Maduro

CUCUTA, Colombia, Feb 25 (Reuters) - Sergeant Javier Gonzalez knew he would be killed if caught 砂漠ing Venezuela's 軍の to 逃げる to Colombia, but the thought of his nine-month-old son 苦しむing the 欠如(する) of milk and diapers in his economically 荒廃させるd country steeled his 解決する.

Gonzalez's wife, Sergeant Kari Castro, escaped a day later on Sunday, crossing a 河床 近づく the Colombia city of Cucuta with their baby and two other family members.

The couple are two of at least 167 members of the Venezuelan 武装した 軍隊s who have 砂漠d and turned themselves into Colombia's 移住 機関 over the last three days.

The desertions began Saturday, during a failed 試みる/企てる by Venezuela's 対立 to 運動 a 軍用車隊 of hundreds of tonnes of international 人道的な 援助(する) into the country, にもかかわらず a 拒絶 by Venezuelan 大統領 Nicolas Maduro to 受託する the food and 薬/医学.

"They're going to do it - I have lots of 同僚s 令状ing to me and they are 動機づけるd, they just need a little 押し進める," he said during an interview in Cucuta.

The couple said they are willing to return to their home country to help Guaido ひったくる 支配(する)/統制する from Maduro, who 否定するs any 危機 and says the 援助(する) 軍用車隊s are a U.S.-支援するd ruse to 追い出す him.

"It's never too late to take the step - if our 大統領,/社長 Guaido is supporting us, we'll support him," said Gonzalez, who served in the 国家の guard for eight years. "If we must form 部隊s here to 計画(する) the 引き継ぎ/買収 of our country we'll do it."
