U.S. 明言する／公表するs 自信のない how to 停止（させる） online sales of abortion pills まっただ中に clinic 厳重取締

NEW YORK, June 27 (Reuters) - American women 直面するd with new 制限s on abortions passed by a dozen U.S. 明言する／公表するs this year are turning to abortion pills from foreign online 供給者s, and the 明言する／公表するs say there is little they can do to stop it.
In the year before many of these new 制限s passed 共和国の／共和党の-controlled 明言する／公表する 立法機関s, over 20,000 U.S. women sought the pills online from providers willing to 反抗する U.S. 連邦の 支配するs over sale of the 麻薬s that induce miscarriage.
One of them was Kayla, a 24-year-old Mississippi mother of two who 終結させるd a pregnancy in January. She and her husband decided they could neither afford to raise another child nor get an abortion at the nearest clinic in Memphis, Tennessee.
"I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have 接近 to that," said Kayla, who asked to be identified only by her first 指名する. "I would probably 権利 now be six months 妊娠している and 哀れな. It was my lifesaver."

"We would only know that if someone were to 報告（する）／憶測 it to us," said Larry Hadley, pharmacy board director in Kentucky, one of six 明言する／公表するs that passed a 法律 this year banning abortion after six weeks, often before a woman knows she is 妊娠している.
Pharmacy board 公式の／役人s in Alabama, Ohio, Louisiana, Missouri, Georgia and North Dakota also said they were not aware of 出荷／船積みs of the 麻薬s from unlicensed, foreign providers or how they would take 活動／戦闘 against them.
From March 2018 through March 20 19, some 21,000 U.S. women sought the abortion-inducing pills misoprostol and mifepristone from the Austria-based website AidAccess.org, によれば a University of Texas at Austin 熟考する／考慮する.

FDA WARNINGS
The FDA has sent 警告 letters to foreign online providers, 脅すing seizure and （裁判所の）禁止（強制）命令s unless they stop selling the abortion pills to American women.
"We remain very 関心d ... because this bypasses important 保護（する）／緊急輸入制限s designed to 保護する women's health," an FDA 広報担当者 said in an email.

The pills, typically taken in the first trimester of pregnancy, thin the uterine lining to 妨げる the embryo from staying implanted and 原因（となる） the uterus to 契約, inducing a miscarriage. They should not be 混乱させるd with the "morning after" pill that 妨げるs pregnancy.
危険s from the abortion pills 含む possible 激しい bleeding and, in rare 事例／患者s, the abortion may fail, 要求するing follow up with surgical abortion, によれば the Mayo Clinic, a 目だつ U.S. hospital system.
Of the 3.7 million women who took the FDA-認可するd brand of mifepristone to 終結させる a pregnancy between September 2000 and December 2018, 24 died from 複雑化s, によれば FDA 記録，記録的な／記録するs.
AidAccess 創立者 Rebecca Gomperts, a 医療の doctor based in Austria, received a letter from the FDA in March 警告 her to stop 定める／命ずるing abortion pills. She has ignored it.
"I am 答える／応じるing to an 緊急の 医療の need of my 患者s," Gomperts said in a phone interview. "I have a 医療の 義務 to do so and I do it."
The abortion pills are typically 定価つきの at a fraction of the hundreds of dollars for a clinic abortion. Gomperts occasionally waives the cost 完全に for women who cannot afford it.
Gomperts said she 令状s prescriptions for the pills for women who are いっそう少なく than nine weeks 妊娠している that are then filled by an Indian pharmacy. About three out of four women who 接触する her 選ぶ against the pills for a variety of 推論する／理由s, she said.
公式の／役人s in Arkansas, Indiana, Tennessee, Utah and Mississippi 拒絶する／低下するd to comment or did not 答える／応じる to calls.
In Texas, where the number of abortion clinics has shrunk by nearly half since 2013, Kerstin Arnold, general counsel for the Texas 明言する／公表する Board of Pharmacy, said the 明言する／公表する had no way of 規制するing pharmacies outside the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs.
"I don't even know where we would go trying to 施行する that," she said.
