Britain would 直面する food 不足s in no-取引，協定 Brexit, 産業 団体／死体 says

LONDON, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Britain will experience 不足s of some fresh foods for weeks or even months if a disorderly no-取引，協定 Brexit leaves perishable produce rotting in lorries at ports, Britain's food and drink ロビー 警告するd on Wednesday.
Retailers such as Tesco have 警告するd that leaving the European Union on Oct. 31 without a 移行 取引，協定 would be problematic as so much fresh produce is 輸入するd and 倉庫／問屋s are 在庫／株d 十分な ahead of Christmas.
The 産業 - which 雇うs 450,000 people in the 部隊d Kingdom - 見解（をとる）s Brexit as the biggest challenge since World War Two, dwarfing previous crises such as the horse meat スキャンダル of 2013 and the mad cow 病気 突発／発生s of the 1980s and 1990s.
"We're not going to 餓死する but there will be 不足s of fresh food and some specialist 成分s. It's going to be a little bit 予測できない," the Food and Drink 連合's 長，指導者 Operating Officer Tim Rycroft told Reuters.
"Given that food very often is perishable and has a short shelf life, we 推定する／予想する that there will be some selective 不足s of food in the weeks and months に引き続いて no-取引，協定 Brexit," Rycroft said. "There will be some 不足s and price rises."
Part of the problem is that Brexit could change everything - or, かもしれない, nothing.

BREXIT AT HALLOWEEN
As winter approaches, the 部隊d Kingdom becomes more 扶養家族 on 輸入するd food so a Halloween no-取引，協定 Brexit is 潜在的に more 破壊的な.
Britain 輸入するs around 60 パーセント of its food by the beginning of November - just the time that 延期するs 原因（となる）d by a no-取引，協定 Brexit could be clogging up ports and motorways, Rycroft said.
Fresh fruit and vegetables, which have a short shelf-life of only a few days, cannot be 蓄える／店d for long so any checks at Calais could lead to 重要な disruption at Dover, Britain's biggest port.
Michael Gove, the British 大臣 責任がある no-取引，協定 準備s, said he was 確信して that a resilient food 供給（する） system would 確実にする people would have "a wide 範囲 and the choices that they need" whatever happened.
"If we do leave without a 取引，協定 on Oct. 31 there will 必然的に be bumps in the road," Gove told BBC TV on a visit to Dover.
"I have been talking to people who manage this port, I've been talking to people who are 責任がある freight that travels to Europe and I've been talking to those who manage other ports ーするために make sure ... that people can receive in their supermarkets and shops everything that they need."

Rycroft said the 産業 had 繰り返して asked the 政府 to 供給する a 保証（人） that companies would not be 罰金d for engaging in anti-競争の激しい behaviour.
