TOKYO, Aug 16 (Reuters) - Canada's Tyler Mislawchuk 勝つ/広く一帯に広がるd in a '戦う/戦い of 栄養' in sticky, 湿気の多い 条件s on Friday to 勝利,勝つ Tokyo´s International Triathlon Union (ITU) Olympic qualifying race, which also 二塁打d as a Tokyo 2020 実験(する) event.

A day after the women's race had to be 縮めるd over heat 関心s, the men's event went ahead at the 発生地 for next year's Olympics in わずかに cooler 条件s, 補佐官d by grey skies.

Mislawchuk outsprinted Hayden Wilde of New Zealand and Norway's Casper Stornes in the final 行う/開催する/段階s to 安全な・保証する the victory for what he 述べるd as "biggest moment of my 冒険的な career".

Mislawchuk, who finished 15th at the Rio 2016 Games, won in a 比較して slow time of 1:49:50 as the triathletes 戦う/戦いd with the 湿度.

"I knew I was ready for the heat but I wasn't ready for the 湿度 so I just had to keep on going and keep 冷静な/正味の, keep that 団体/死体 気温 冷静な/正味の with a bit of ice and water 負かす/撃墜する the 支援する," Wilde, who finished third, told Reuters.

"It was 肉親,親類d of a 生き残り of 栄養 out there, instead of how 急速な/放蕩な you can go because at the end of the day it was so hot that it wasn´t going to be a 急速な/放蕩な race," said the New Zealander.

Two-time Olympic medallist Jonathan Brownlee echoed these 感情s and 約束d to be more 積極的な at the Games next year に引き続いて a fifth-placed finish on Friday.

"It was really, really 堅い racing," said the Briton, whose brother Alistair didn't compete.

"I think for me 本人自身で, it was やめる an important race, just to get through a race in the heat."

"I was very, very 保守的な today; I just 手配中の,お尋ね者 a good, solid race to 証明する to myself I can race in these 条件s and to come 支援する next year and be far more 積極的な and 現実に race this time."

"For me, today was about getting through it."

に引き続いて the マラソン swimming 実験(する) event at the same 発生地 last 週末, questions have been asked over the water 質 at the Odaiba 海洋 Park.

However, the ITU 支配するd the water 質 good enough for 競争 and the 記録,記録的な/記録するd water 気温 on Friday was 29.3 degrees Celsius, below the 治める/統治するing 団体/死体´s threshold of 30.9.

"The water was 罰金. There has been a lot of talk about the water 質 but I have swam in much worse. It is very, very good," said Brownlee.

"We have trained in a lot hotter. When I was a young kid in the swimming pools of 物陰/風下d we trained in a lot hotter water than that so it was 罰金."

As for Mislawchuk, who became the first Canadian male to 安全な・保証する a World Triathlon Series (WTS) podium, he believes good 準備 and a natural aptitude for 取引,協定ing with the heat 与える/捧げるd to his maiden victory.

He will be one to watch at the Olympics next year.

"I am in the fortunate position that I do really 井戸/弁護士席 in the heat, without 準備 and 明白に even better with 準備," he explained.

"It goes the other way; I don´t do too 井戸/弁護士席 in the 冷淡な as I am a lean guy, a small guy."

"Everyone wants to 勝利,勝つ a race like that so, a year out from the Olympics, that is 広大な/多数の/重要な but it also puts a 的 on my 支援する for next year 明白に." (報告(する)/憶測ing by Jack Tarrant Editing by Amlan Chakraborty)
