Cathay 太平洋の 航空路s CEO Rupert Hogg 辞職するs as Chinese scrutiny 開始するs

HONG KONG/SINGAPORE Aug 16 (Reuters) - Cathay 太平洋の 航空路s CEO Rupert Hogg 辞職するd in a shock move on Friday, まっただ中に 開始するing Chinese regulatory scrutiny of the Hong Kong 運送／保菌者 over the 関与 of its 従業員s in the city's anti-政府 抗議するs.
The sudden 出発 signals growing 圧力 on the 法人組織の／企業の 部門 in the Chinese-controlled former British 植民地, home to 多国籍のs such as HSBC Holdings and Jardine Matheson Holdings, to support Beijing.
Cathay 太平洋の, which has already 終結させるd two 操縦するs for engaging in 違法な 抗議するs at the 命令 of the Chinese 航空 regulator, 指名するd Augustus 強い味 as its new CEO.
強い味 is the 長，率いる of Hong Kong 航空機 工学 Company - which like Cathay is managed by Swire 太平洋の Ltd.
The 航空機による also said Paul Loo had 辞職するd as 長，指導者 顧客 and 商業の officer, to be 取って代わるd by the 長，率いる of its low-cost arm Hong Kong 表明する, Ronald Lam.
Cathay Chairman John Slosar said 最近の events had called into question Cathay's かかわり合い to flight safety and 安全 and put its 評判 and brand under 圧力.
"This is 残念な as we have always made safety and 安全 our highest 優先," he said in a 声明. "We therefore think it is time to put a new 管理／経営 team in place who can reset 信用／信任 and lead the 航空機による to new 高さs."
