India celebrates New Year's Eve with 抗議するs against 市民権 法律

NEW DELHI, Jan 1 (Reuters) - Thousands of Indians 勧めるd in the New Year by 論証するing against a 市民権 法律 にもかかわらず 総理大臣 Narendra Modi's 試みる／企てるs to 鈍らせる 抗議するs that have run for nearly three weeks.
The 抗議するs have 激しく揺するd India since Dec. 12, when the 政府 passed 法律制定 緩和 the way for 非，不，無-イスラム教徒 少数，小数派s from 隣人ing イスラム教徒-大多数 nations of Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan to 伸び（る） Indian 市民権.
連合させるd with 対立 to a 提案するd 国家の 登録（する） of 国民s, many Indians 恐れる the 法律 will 差別する against 少数，小数派 イスラム教徒s and 半導体素子 away at India's 世俗的な 憲法.
The 市民権 改正 行為／法令／行動する (CAA) and the 国家の 国民s' 登録（する） (NRC), which were part of the 選挙 manifesto of Modi's 判決，裁定 Hindu 国家主義者 party.
抗議する人s had planned at least three demonstrations in New Delhi, the 資本／首都, 含むing the area of Shaheen Bagh, where hundreds of 居住（者）s have 封鎖するd a major 主要道路 for 18 days.
Irshad Alam, a 25-year-old 居住（者） of Shaheen Bagh, stood with his one-year-old in his arm and his wife by his 味方する. He said he´d been 参加するing in the 抗議する every day.
"It´s 氷点の here," he said, "But we are still here because we care about this movement."
More than 200 people gathered in and around a 一時しのぎの物，策 行う／開催する／段階 in the イスラム教徒 neighbourhood 詠唱するing スローガンs and reciting poetry.
居住（者） Maqsood Alam said 抗議する人s were not afraid of a police 厳重取締.
"We´ve been 推定する／予想するing that every day. But I´ll tell you one thing," he said. "This （人が）群がる here is not afraid of the 政府. They are ready to give their lives for this movement. We won´t leave here until the 政府 takes 支援する the 法律."
Poetry recitals and speeches had been planned by organisers at a 抗議する outside New Delhi's Jamia Millia University, which was 嵐／襲撃するd by police this month.
"New Year's 決意／決議 to defend the 憲法," read the schedule for another 抗議する planned in New Delhi, now in the 支配する of its second coldest winter in more than a century.
Police said they had （軍隊を）展開する，配備するd 付加 軍隊s in New Delhi on New Year's Eve, with traffic 抑制（する）s 課すd in some parts of the 資本／首都.
"All 予防の 対策 are in place," said police 公式の／役人 Chinmoy Biswal, who 監督するs the southeastern part of the city that 含むs Shaheen Bagh and Jamia Millia University.
"Recently, there have been no 出来事/事件s. So we hope things will remain 罰金," he told Reuters.
In the southern city of Hyderabad, at least two small groups of デモ参加者／実演宣伝者s have been organising flash 抗議するs, to skirt police 制限s on larger 集会s.
Typically, half a dozen デモ参加者／実演宣伝者s pop up in public places, such as 商店街s and coffee shops, 持つ／拘留するing up 掲示s and encouraging passersby to join in, a member of one of the groups, which has held 11 抗議するs, told Reuters.
Street-味方する poetry recitals, stand-up comedy, and music 業績／成果s are also planned in the 財政上の 資本／首都 of Mumbai and the eastern city of Kolkata.
But some 抗議するs have turned violent, 特に in the populous northern 明言する／公表する of Uttar Pradesh, and at least 25 people have been killed in 衝突／不一致s with police since 早期に December.
