After Brexit-settling 選挙, UK 会社/堅いs see 商売/仕事 bounce

By William Schomberg

LUTON, England, Jan 26 (Reuters) - At Bruderer UK, a small 会社/堅い selling metal-stamping machines from an 産業の 広い地所 just north of London, 商売/仕事 kicked into high gear 権利 after 総理大臣 Boris Johnson's big 選挙 勝利,勝つ last month.

(弁護士の)依頼人s, 含むing the 王室の 造幣局 which uses Bruderer 器具/備品 to make coins, at last knew for sure that Britain would やめる the European Union on Jan. 31. Many have 生き返らせるd 計画(する)s that had long been on 持つ/拘留する.

"For three years we were stuck in a rut of indecisiveness," Bruderer UK managing director Adrian Haller said. "Once the 選挙 happened, there was a 大規模な sigh of 救済."

Other 商売/仕事s are also 報告(する)/憶測ing a 地位,任命する-選挙 回復, and 大蔵大臣 Sajid Javid says he is 希望に満ちた that Britain's 経済成長 can 結局 bounce 支援する to its pre-財政上の 危機 levels of nearly 3% a year.

That would 代表する a victory for Britain's Brexit 支持者s and かもしれない 奮起させる eurosceptics within the EU.

Bruderer has just sold two new machines - used to make car parts, fountain pen nibs, scalpels, drink tins and other 製品s - for a total of 1.5 million 続けざまに猛撃するs ($2 million).

The 会社/堅い, whose turnover for all of 2019 was below 4 million 続けざまに猛撃するs, has also taken on two 事業/計画(する)s to retool machines for companies 価値(がある) 140,000 続けざまに猛撃するs since the 投票(する).

"January is usually synonymous with a very, very slow start to the year. Now, we're only three weeks in but our feet have not touched the 床に打ち倒す," Haller said.

However, many 会社/堅いs remain worried about leaving a 圏 that accounts for nearly half of Britain's 輸出(する)s. Johnson's victory has ended prospects of その上の Brexit 延期するs, but London and Brussels have yet to start 会談 on a new 貿易(する) 取引,協定 for 2021 and beyond, after an 11-month, no-change 移行 period.

TURNAROUND OR MIRAGE?

Johnson's 勝利,勝つ also meant no 転換 to the left under the 対立 労働 Party.

I ts 計画(する)s for renationalising some 産業s and a greater 役割 for the 明言する/公表する worried many 商売/仕事 leaders, and the first 計器s of the economy since the 選挙 have pointed to a bounce in 信用/信任 and a 生き返らせる of the 住宅 market.

On Friday, the IHS Markit 購入(する)ing 経営者/支配人s' 索引 showed 会社/堅いs having their best month in more than a year in January, かもしれない dissuading the Bank of England from cutting 利益/興味 率s on Jan. 30.

However, it remains to be seen if the world's fifth-biggest economy really is 現れるing from the 近づく 行き詰まり of late 2019. In the medium 称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語, few 投資家s 推定する/予想する British growth to 速度(を上げる) up much from its 現在の pace of just over 1% a year.

すぐに after the shock 決定/判定勝ち(する) by British 投票者s to leave the EU in 2016, the PMIs 示唆するd the economy was nose-飛び込み, only to stabilise soon afterwards.

The world economy had its weakest growth since the 全世界の 財政上の 危機 last year and has not yet reached a turning point, the International 通貨の 基金 says, and 不確定 could return to 重さを計る on Britain if 会談 with the EU about a new 貿易(する) 取引,協定 go 負かす/撃墜する to the wire before the Dec. 31 最終期限.

GOOD NEWS FOR SOME

大蔵大臣 Javid 計画(する)s to give the economy a 上げる in March, by 発表するing more 投資 in 組織/基盤/下部構造 to 取り組む Britain's weak 生産性 記録,記録的な/記録する.

At least for some 部門s, the picture is already brighter に引き続いて the stasis of 2019.

House-建設業者 Berkeley is ramping up construction while Countryside 所有物/資産/財産s 報告(する)/憶測d a 記録,記録的な/記録する 今後 order 調書をとる/予約する. Pub chains said they had a good Christmas even if supermarkets have 報告(する)/憶測d little change in 需要・要求する.

Companies in other 部門s, 特に those with a lot to lose if Britain and the EU do not reach a 貿易(する) 取引,協定 this year, remain 用心深い.

RDM Group, an 自動推進の 科学(工学)技術 会社/堅い that makes computer systems for cars such as self-parking systems that can be operated from an iPhone, has seen no change in 需要・要求する from (弁護士の)依頼人s that 含む Aston ツバメ and Jaguar Land Rover.

That 反映するs the high 不確定 for Britain's 自動車 部門. It 直面するs the 危険 of high 関税s on 貿易(する) with the EU if a 取引,協定 is not reached by the end of 2020.

But RDM's Aurrigo 部隊, which makes self-運動ing 乗り物s to 往復(する) 乗客s around shopping 商店街s and carry baggage at airports, has seen a 復活 of 利益/興味 from 可能性のある 投資家s from the Middle East, North America and Australia who had gone 静かな before the 選挙.

"There was a lot of nervousness about which way the country would go," Miles 獲得する, sales and marketing director for RDM and Aurrigo, said. "As it's turned out, it is more of a 商売/仕事-orientated 政府. It has helped." ($1 = 0.7608 続けざまに猛撃するs) (令状ing by William Schomberg; editing by John Stonestreet)
