U.S. 明言する／公表するs 告訴する to 需要・要求する 承認 of Equal 権利s 改正 for women

Jan 30 (Reuters) - The last three 明言する／公表するs to pass the Equal 権利s 改正 告訴するd the archivist of the U.S. 政府 on Thursday, 需要・要求するing that the 改正 to the U.S. 憲法 保証（人）ing equal 権利s for women be 宣言するd valid.
Virginia, Illinois and Nevada とじ込み／提出するd the 訴訟 in U.S. 地区 法廷，裁判所 for the 地区 of Columbia, 強めるing a 審議 over whether the 最終期限 to 批准する the ERA has passed, and whether the 改正 is still needed.
Some 保守的なs …に反対する the ERA in part because they 恐れる it could be used to 支える abortion 権利s, and the 司法（官） Department under 大統領 Donald Trump has 効果的に stopped the 国家の 古記録s from 認めるing it.
But 自由主義の 行動主義者s have 注入するd new life into the movement, 説 women still 苦しむ 差別 100 years after winning the 権利 to 投票（する） and 公式文書，認めるing 熟考する／考慮するs showing they are routinely paid いっそう少なく than men for same work.
After Nevada passed the 改正 in 2017 and Illinois in 2018, Virginia this month became the 38th 明言する／公表する to 批准する an 改正 to the U.S. 憲法 that 明言する／公表するs, "Equality of 権利s under the 法律 shall not be 否定するd or abridged by the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs or by any 明言する／公表する on account of sex."
Arguing that they could 会合，会う the final 必要物／必要条件 for 批准, Virginia 民主党員s made passing the ERA a 最高の，を越す 優先 after ひったくるing 支配（する）／統制する of the 明言する／公表する 立法機関 from 共和国の／共和党のs in November.
"The ERA is now the 28th 改正 to the 憲法," Virginia 司法長官 示す Herring 宣言するd in a news 会議／協議会 on Thursday, while also lamenting, "The 軍隊s that have tried to 否定する women the equal 保護 of the 法律 for centuries have not yet been fully vanquished."
Proponents argue that with passage in Virginia the 改正 crosses the final threshold to be enshrined in the U.S. 憲法, now that three-fourths of the 50 明言する／公表するs have passed it.
The 改正 met the other req uirements when it was passed by a two-thirds 大多数 of the U.S. 衆議院 in 1971 and the U.S. 上院 in 1972. From there it was sent to the 明言する／公表するs, becoming a major 決起大会／結集させるing cry of the women's 解放 movement of the 1970s.
対抗者s say a 最終期限 of 1982 始める，決める by 議会 has long passed. Alabama, Louisiana and South Dakota とじ込み／提出するd their own 連邦の 訴訟 in December 捜し出すing to stop the ERA for that 推論する／理由.
