"It's a very emotional time": Hong Kongers pack memories for new life overseas

HONG KONG/LONDON, July 9 (Reuters) - When college 卒業生（する） Wong, 23, leaves Hong Kong to escape Beijing's new 国家の 安全 法律, it will be his friends, the 素晴らしい 見解（をとる）s over Victoria Harbour and the city's famous 薄暗い sum he will 行方不明になる the most.
Wong is joining a flood of fellow Hong Kongers 逃げるing what they see as a more 権威主義者 時代 under the 法律制定, which punishes 行為／法令／行動するs of 離脱, subversion, テロ行為 and colluding with foreign 軍隊s with up to life in 刑務所，拘置所.

Wong said while the prospect of a new life in a different country is exciting, his family is also fraught with sadness.
"When you pack everything, you're packing your memories in Hong Kong. You got photos and toys from childhood, you are packing your memories into a box and sending them to a foreign country, so it's a very emotional time," he told Reuters.
"Hopefully I can pack up everything," said Wong, who 拒絶する／低下するd to give his 十分な 指名する for 恐れる of 天罰.

A Hong Kong 移民／移住 lawyer told Reuters she had been inundated with 調査s from people eager to get to Britain since the 法律 was introduced, with a noticeable spike in the number of 延長するd families 捜し出すing （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状）.
"One of my friends is a teacher in Hong Kong. She's been teaching for over 10 years and she said she has four siblings and the five families altogether they want to move," said Janine Miu, Managing Director at UK 移民／移住 Specialist.
Miu said she had also seen a 転換 in the demographic of people 急ぐing for the 出口, from more 豊富な and experienced people to younger individuals and couples with small children.
Critics of the 法律 恐れる it will be used by 本土／大陸 and 地元の 当局 to 鎮圧する dissent in Hong Kong, while 支持者s say it will bring 安定 after months of 不安.
Although 中国's 法律 also 適用するs to activities abroad, Wong 計画（する）s to ロビー overseas support for those he leaves behind.
