California 共和国の／共和党のs 押し進める 支援する in 投票（する） 減少（する） box 論争

LOS ANGELES, Oct 14 (Reuters) - California 共和国の／共和党の Party leaders, egged on by 大統領 Donald Trump, 公約するd on Wednesday to keep collecting 投票（する）s that 投票者s 配達する to party-furnished 減少（する） boxes in churches, gun shops and （選挙などの）運動をする offices, a practice they defended as perfectly 合法的な.
共和国の／共和党のs were 答える／応じるing to a 中止する-and-desist order on Tuesday from California's 最高の，を越す 選挙s 公式の／役人, 国務長官 Alex Padilla, 需要・要求するing 除去 of "unauthorized and 非，不，無-公式の／役人" 投票（する）-by-mail 投票（する） boxes 始める，決める up by the party in at least three 郡s.

'BALLOT HARVESTING?'
Becerra and Padilla 主張するd that under 明言する／公表する 法律, only 地元の 選挙s 公式の／役人s can 合法的に operate 減少（する） boxes - 安全な・保証するd, 明確に 示すd, 公然と placed receptacles where 投票者s can 服従させる／提出する their 投票（する）s rather than ゆだねる them to the 郵便の Service or 勇敢に立ち向かう 潜在的に （人が）群がるd 投票ing places on 選挙 Day.
"非公式の, unauthorized 減少（する） boxes are not permitted in the 明言する／公表する of California," Padilla told reporters on Tuesday.

共和国の／共和党の leaders said doing so was 合法的な under 支配する changes, 制定するd by the Democratic-controlled 立法機関, 許すing 投票者s to 指定する third-party individuals outside their 即座の families or 世帯s to collect and 服従させる／提出する 投票（する）s on their に代わって.
California 共和国の／共和党のs had …に反対するd those changes and disparaged them as "投票（する） 収穫ing" - a practice they said was now 存在 雇うd by some Democratic 候補者s and union 支持者s without 反対 from 明言する／公表する 公式の／役人s.
A small, "孤立するd" number of the party's 投票（する） boxes were 簡潔に mislabeled as "公式の／役人" - a 違反 訂正するd within hours, 明言する／公表する 共和国の／共和党の Party 弁護士／代理人／検事 Thomas Hiltachk said in a telephone 会議／協議会 call with reporters.
Hiltachk 否定するd the party was trying to 誤って導く 投票者s. He said he did not know how many 投票（する）s were received in party 減少（する） boxes so far.
"The program you now 誤って （人命などを）奪う，主張する to be 違法な is a perfect example of what you 'proudly' 明言する／公表するd to be permissible just last year," he wrote in his letter of 返答 to Padilla on Wednesday.

In an email to Reuters, Kelley said any "unattended" 投票（する） box is 禁じるd unless operated by 選挙s 公式の／役人s.
