Trump turns up heat on Georgia 共和国の/共和党の in fight to overturn 選挙 loss

CUTHBERT, Ga., Jan 3 (Reuters) - Georgia's 共和国の/共和党の 長官 of 明言する/公表する, Brad Raffensperger, 固く結び付けるd his status as an ありそうもない hero for U.S. 民主党員s に引き続いて a fresh 衝突/不一致 in which he 拒絶するd 大統領 Donald Trump's (人命などを)奪う,主張するs that his 選挙 敗北・負かす was the result of 普及した 詐欺.

Trump returned the 65-year-old former 実業家 to the limelight when he called Raffensperger on Saturday to badger him to "find" enough 投票(する)s to 逆転する Democratic 大統領-elect Joe Biden's victory in the 明言する/公表する, によれば 音声部の of the hour-long call published by the Washington 地位,任命する on Sunday.

But he and his 同僚s for weeks have been 警告 that Trump's rhetoric placed them and their 同僚s in danger.

REPUTATION AS 'STRAIGHT SHOOTER'

After years as a civil engineer and successful 実業家, Raffensperger served two years on a city 会議 and four years in Georgia's 衆議院 before 後継するing now-知事 Brian Kemp in 2018 as the 最高の,を越す 選挙 公式の/役人.
