More than 50,000 people have taken to the streets of Tenerife in 抗議する against 観光旅行，事業 on the island, brandishing 'you enjoy, we 苦しむ' 掲示s as 地元のs fight poverty and 住宅 不足s. 

The 選挙運動者s （人命などを）奪う，主張する that the 抱擁する influx of tourists to the island is 原因（となる）ing major 環境の 損失, 運動ing 負かす／撃墜する 給料 and squeezing 地元のs out of cheap affordable 住宅, 軍隊ing dozens to live in テントs and cars instead.

One 女性（の） protestor at the march held up a 調印する which read: 'Fourteen million tourists a year but 36 per cent of Canarians at 危険 of poverty.' 

This comes as 恐れるs are growing over the health of the Tenerife hunger strikers, who are part of a wider 抗議する （選挙などの）運動をする, as they enter their tenth day without food. 

The 行動主義者s are 押し進めるing the 地元の 当局 to stop two tourist 事業／計画（する）s before they will end their 急速な／放蕩な; to stop the construction of a five-星／主役にする hotel by one of Tenerife's last virgin beaches called La Tejita and to change the tourist model to 保護する the island and prioritise the 地元のs.  

However, there are now 報告（する）／憶測s that six 行動主義者s, who have been on the hunger strike since last Thursday, have 決定的な 調印するs that are outside normal 限界s meaning they are at 危険 of 本気で 妥協ing their health.

A nurse at the scene said: 'The data is very alarming, continuing the strike could lead to irreparable neurological 損失 and even death.'

The 指名するs of those taking part in the hunger strike have so far been kept secret and they are not 推定する／予想するd to give interviews while the extreme 抗議する continues in a square called Plaza de la Concepcion outside a church of the same 指名する. 

This comes as 女性（の） protestors 明らかにする／漏らす that they are harrassed and 脅すd by tourists and no longer 'feel 安全な' in their 母国. 

'I wouldn't go to the south of the island alone, it is not 安全な for young women,' one protestor told the 表明する. 

Another 行動主義者 Celia Quintero, 15, （人命などを）奪う，主張するd they are 圧力d in school to accomodate British tourists.

Speaking to the Daily 表明する, she said that you had to learn English at school with lessons like Maths even 存在 taught in the language because 'you have to know English because we rely on 観光旅行，事業 and to stay 安全な'.

But the 観光旅行，事業 is not making her feel 安全な, she 明らかにする／漏らすd that she was recently harrassed by a group of German tourists so much that she was 軍隊d to hide in a 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業 just to get away from them. 

見積（る）s of 50, 000 Canary Islanders took to the streets of the 大西洋 群島 today to 抗議する against the problems 原因（となる）d by 集まり 観光旅行，事業 and 需要・要求する their 政治家，政治屋s take 活動／戦闘.

デモ参加者／実演宣伝者s packed into Weyler Square in the Tenerife 資本／首都 Santa Cruz, the start point for a march on the Brit-popular holiday island, just before midday with 旗，新聞一面トップの大見出し／大々的に報道するs 含むing one that said: 'You enjoy we 苦しむ' in English.

Others said: 'Where is the money from 観光旅行，事業?' and 'Tourist 支払い猶予／一時停止 now.'

They waved Canary Islands' 旗s and blew vuvuzelas to make a deafening noise.

抗議するs also got 進行中で at the same time in the other islands in the 群島, 含むing Lanzarote and Gran Canaria, with support デモs scheduled for the Spanish 本土／大陸 in cities like Malaga and Madrid 同様に as London and Berlin.

The Canary Islands 抗議するs were organised under the スローガン 'Canarias Tiene Un 限界' which in English translates as 'The Canary Islands have a 限界.'

The 背景 to the デモs is an 現在進行中の hunger strike six men and women began on April 11 outside a church in the northern Tenerife town of La Laguna.

Speaking ahead of the start of today's demonstrations, a 広報担当者 for 抗議する 壇・綱領・公約 Canarias Se Agota which the hunger strikers are (v)提携させる(n)支部，加入者d to, said: 'Today, April 20, 示すs the 10th day of the hunger strike.

'Today we cannot forget these people who are putting their lives at 危険 for our Earth.

'Their 決意 奮起させるs, their bravery moves us, their sacrifice reminds us that this struggle is everyone's and for everyone.

'We are 令状ing a new 一時期／支部 in the history of our islands, a 一時期／支部 示すd by the unwavering perseverance of those who bravely defend our home.

'Today the Canary Islands will 叫び声をあげる and fight, and tomorrow it will continue to do so.'

選挙運動者s have been quick to distance themselves from anti-tourist graffiti which appeared on 塀で囲むs and （法廷の）裁判s in and around Palm 損なう in southern Tenerife at the start of the month.

At the beginning of this week a picture was published in 地元の 圧力（をかける） showing the words 'Go Home' on a 雇う car in Tenerife.

抗議する groups 含むing Canarias Se Agota, which in English translates literally as 'The Canary Islands are Exhausted', want the 当局 to paralyse two tourist 事業／計画（する）s 含むing one which 伴う／関わるs the construction of a five-星／主役にする hotel by one of Tenerife's last virgin beaches.

They are also 捜し出すing a かかわり合い from 地域の 政治家，政治屋s to change the tourist model and 保護する islands like Tenerife from the worst 超過s of 集まり 観光旅行，事業, 含むing sea 汚染, traffic gridlock and 欠如（する） of chea p affordable 住宅 linked to the 押し進めるing-up of 所有物／資産／財産 prices because of Airbnb-style holiday lets.

Other 需要・要求するs 含む the 保護 of natural spaces, a tourist 税金 and better working 条件s for hotel cleaners, who joined today's 抗議する in Santa Cruz as they 主張するd to 地元の 圧力（をかける）: 'We are not slaves.'

公式の／役人 sources put the number of デモ参加者／実演宣伝者s in Tenerife at midday at around 10,000 people, although that 見積（る） had 増加するd to 15,000 by 1pm 地元の time with some 予測s it could 結局最後にはーなる より勝るing the 50,000 示す.

An 概算の 1,000 people started the 抗議する march that began just after midday today from a park in Lanzarote's 資本／首都 Arrecife.

Many more subsequently joined it and some 地元の 報告（する）／憶測s put the number of デモ参加者／実演宣伝者s at 'at least' 5,000 by the time it reached a city beach called Playa El Reducto.

In the Gran Canaria 資本／首都 Las Palmas, 行進者s carried 旗，新聞一面トップの大見出し／大々的に報道するs in Spanish which said: 'It's not phobia, it's love for my land.'

One of the other 旗，新聞一面トップの大見出し／大々的に報道するs 展示（する）d by protestors said: 'The Canary Islands 政府 is an 広い地所 機関'

Another said: 'With so much Airbnb where are we going to live.'

More than 1,000 people were said to have joined the 抗議する march in Fuerteventura by just after midday 地元の time.

Protestor Xiomara Cruz, who took part in the march in Gran Canaria, said ahead of its start: 'They made us believe that in the Canary Islands we live from 観光旅行，事業 and what we want is the 権利 of islanders to live in their land.'

She called the 抗議するs a '決起大会／結集させるing cry from a 全住民 tired of seeing how our islands are 存在 destroyed.'

Paula Rincon told 地元の 圧力（をかける）: 'It 苦痛s me that Canarians cannot afford to live in their own neighbourhoods.'

主張するing the 現在の 観光旅行，事業 model led to 'more people 支払う／賃金ing lower prices and 不正に-built hotels that destroyed beaches and 保護するd areas' she 追加するd: 'I don't know why we aspire to so many numbers when this doesn't filter 負かす／撃墜する to the 残り／休憩（する） of the 全住民.

'The 現在の system doesn't 利益 us, it impoverishes us.'

The 抗議するs in the Canary Islands are mostly taking place away from the main tourist areas, which in Tenerife and Gran Canaria are in the south of the islands.

Some British holidaymakers have shown their support for the 問題／発行するs raised by the islanders but others have 告発する／非難する d them of biting the 手渡す that 料金d them.

The Canary Islands' 観光旅行，事業 大臣 Jessica de Leon 勧めるd British holidaymakers not to 取り消す their holidays ahead of today's デモs.

Canary Islands 地域の 大統領，／社長 Fernando Clavijo 最初 認める he was worried tourists might be put off coming to the area, before 軟化するing his message last week and 述べるing the April 20 抗議するs as an 適切な時期 to '改訂する' the 現在の 観光旅行，事業 model.

Jorge Marichal, 大統領，／社長 of 地域の hotel 協会 ASHOTEL, has （人命などを）奪う，主張するd tourists were （犯罪の）一味ing 設立s to ask whether it was 安全な to come.

He has also 主張するd '非，不，無-規制するd' holiday lets are a big problem and the 推論する／理由 there is いっそう少なく 支配（する）／統制する than there should be on the numbers of tourists in places like Tenerife.

Messages in English left on 塀で囲むs and （法廷の）裁判s in and around Palm 損なう in southern Tenerife at the start of the month 含むd 'My 悲惨 your 楽園' and '普通の／平均（する） salary in Canary Islands is 1,200 euros.'

In an 明らかな UK （激しい）反発, a 返答 left in English on a 塀で囲む next to a 'Tourists go home' message said: 'F*** off, we 支払う／賃金 your 給料.'

抗議する 壇・綱領・公約 Canarias Se Agota has 主張するd it has nothing to do with the graffiti that has appeared in parts of Tenerife over 最近の weeks - and has （刑事）被告 地域の 政治家，政治屋s of 非難するing them of 観光旅行，事業-phobia as part of a 'dirty tricks' （選挙などの）運動をする.

It comes as British holidaymakers have 報道によれば been calling hotels in Tenerife to ask if they will be 安全な まっただ中に a 一連の 集まり 抗議するs planned across the islands by 行動主義者s unsettled by 広範囲にわたる arrivals of foreign holidaymakers. 

Tech 労働者 Ivan Cerde?a Molina, 36, helped organise the 抗議する as part of his 役割 at 地元の 自然保護 group ATAN (Asociaci?n Tinerfe?a de Amigos de la Naturaleza).

He told MailOnline 以前: 'It's a 危機, we have to change things 緊急に, people are living in their cars and even in 洞穴s, and 地元のs can't eat, drink or live 井戸／弁護士席.

'Airbnb and 調書をとる／予約するing.com are like a 癌 that is 消費するing the island bit by bit.

'The 利益s of the 産業 are not trickling 負かす／撃墜する to everyday people, whose salaries have not 増加するd in years, the 質 of life here is 崩壊（する）ing.'

Ivan was born and raised in El Medano, a once 静かな town about a 20 minute-運動 east of the most popular tourist 訴える手段／行楽地 of Los Cristianos.

The 観光旅行，事業 大臣 of the Canary Islands has 勧めるd British travellers to spend their holidays in the 群島 にもかかわらず 開始するing 抗議するs against overtourism.

Jessica de Le?n 主張するd that in spite of 報告（する）／憶測s of 調書をとる／予約するing 取り消しs and 恐れるs of holiday disruptions, 'it is still 安全な to visit the Canary Islands, and we are delighted to welcome you'.

She told The Telegraph that while she understood the protestors' 原因（となる） for 関心, it was '不公平な to 非難する 観光旅行，事業' on the 問題／発行するs 直面するing the Canary Islands. 

Last week, 行動主義者s also went on hunger strike as part of a 抗議する against the 影響s of 集まり 観光旅行，事業 on island life.

Nearly a dozen 選挙運動者s for a more 維持できる type of 観光旅行，事業 went ahead with their 脅し outside a church in the historic city of La Laguna.

The hunger strikers want the 当局 to 停止（させる） two tourist 事業／計画（する）s, one 伴う／関わるing the construction of a five-星／主役にする hotel by one of Tenerife's last virgin beaches called La Tejita.

In La Palma, 居住（者）s organised an event called 'Punktagorda Foresta 激しく揺する'.

They told MailOnline they 計画（する） to converse, not 抗議する, about the 問題／発行するs.

'It's really just taking care of our home and the island and the people and setting healthy 境界s while making needs 水晶 （疑いを）晴らす,' Louis Slabbert wrote on Twitter/X.

Ms de Le?n 表明するd sympathy with the 関心s, telling The Telegraph: 'The problem is that the last five years have seen an 普通の／平均（する） of 3,000 homes built on the islands, when 需要・要求する is for 20,000. 

'Last year just 200 public 住宅 部隊s were built.'

Protestors せいにするd 非難する to the governance of the 群島 in their manifesto, 令状ing: 'If we have reached this point it is because we have no other choice and because of the serious faults that our bad 政府 of the Canary Islands is committing.'

'They are putting our 現在の and our 未来 and that of the new 世代s at 危険,' they 追加するd.

'Do not underestimate us, because we are many people. We are all of the Canary Islands, a whole movement.

'Without our work, our 投票（する）s, you are nothing and nobody and you are not for what you are doing with the Canary Islands.

'We say enough is enough, not in our 指名する,' 警告するs the manifesto, read by 'Canarias se exhausta' members V?ctor 市場?n and Isora Mesa.

The Canary Islands have 大部分は built their economy around 観光旅行，事業, welcoming around 12.3million 訪問者s each year.

In 2023 alone, foreign travellers spent more than 20.3billion euros in the 地域, accounting for a fifth of spending throughout Spain.

The direct and indirect 出資／貢献 of 観光旅行，事業 to the 群島 stands at around 35 per cent.

The 火山の islands were 特に 不正に 影響する／感情d by the Covid-19 pandemic and 制限s placed on travel as a result.

The Canary Islands are the third most 国祭的な visited 地域 in Spain.

Speaking to MailOnline during the first big 逃亡 over 復活祭, 居住（者）s on Tenerife said 'enough is enough' as they called for a 支払い猶予／一時停止 on the 産業, along with a tourist 税金 and 厳格な人 支配（する）／統制するs.

It comes as a wave of new anti-観光旅行，事業 graffiti has po pped up 近づく 訴える手段／行楽地s over the past few days, with messages reading 'tourists go home' and 'too many guiris'.

Guiri is a Spanish slang word for foreigner, which is often used in a 消極的な way to 述べる northern European or American 訪問者s and expats.

One poster taped to a 塀で囲む said: '地元のs are 軍隊d to move out and YOU are 責任がある that… 数字表示式の nomads you are NOT welcome here.'

But it seems some Brits are fighting 支援する, with a message in English scribbled next to one of the スローガンs 説: 'F**k off, we 支払う／賃金 your 給料!'

緊張s are rising on the island as more and more people join calls for 抑制s on 観光旅行，事業. On Tuesday this week, a 抗議する is planned in Santa Cruz, dubbed 'Salvar La Tejida' (Save La Teijda).

選挙運動者s will 持つ／拘留する a 圧力（をかける） 会議／協議会 laying out their 需要・要求するs before 持つ／拘留するing a march with 旗，新聞一面トップの大見出し／大々的に報道するs and 調印するs.

Later this month, on April 20, a second 抱擁する 抗議する is 存在 planned by a string of 環境の and social groups, again in the 資本／首都.

A poster for the event says the Canary Islands 'has a 限界' and that 抗議する人s will be marching for '自然保護 of natural spaces, a tourist 支払い猶予／一時停止, and tougher 規則 for foreigners buying 所有物／資産／財産.'

The main 支配する の中で 地元のs is the rising costs of renting and buying homes, as landlords continue to buy up Airbnbs and tourist lets, 減ずるing 供給（する） and 押し進めるing up prices.

地元の painter Vicky Colomer, 63, told MailOnline: 'I feel like a foreigner here, I don't feel comfortable anymore, it's like everything is made for British and German tourists who just want to drink cheap beer, lay in the sun and eat burgers and 半導体素子s.

'We need higher 質 tourists who 現実に want to experience our culture and food and 尊敬（する）・点 our nature.

'This was a 楽園 but now it's not and it makes me angry. We must 減ずる the number of flights and 訪問者s and 焦点（を合わせる） on bringing higher 質 people.'

She 追加するd: 'There are hundreds of caravans who park up 不法に and leave rubbish all over the place.

'近づく my home a few weeks ago foreign tourists put on a rave with a DJ booth and （衆議院の）議長s in the middle of a field, that is not 許容できる.'

She 追加するd that young people are ますます tired of 存在 unable to find decent work.

'They 熟考する／考慮する for years and go to university but the only 職業s 申し込む／申し出d to them here is in a hotel or a restaurant or 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業, so all our young talent has to move away to the 本土／大陸 if they want to 追求する a proper career, it's not 権利.'

But it's not just the 衝撃 on human life that is enraging 部分s of the 全住民.

Biologist Anne Striewe, 47, told MailOnline of the 損失ing 影響 観光旅行，事業 has on 野性生物.

'There are hundreds of boats and jet skis in our waters everyday, pumping 石油 into the water,' she said.

'Then there are the boat parties which 爆破 music all day long, and what people don't realise is that this is 選ぶd up by 鯨s and other creatures and really 混乱させるs and 脅すs them, it makes them go crazy.

'一方／合間 there have been 多重の 事例／患者s of animals 存在 負傷させるd or killed by boat プロペラs, there are often 大型船s in 保護するd waters but no one is 割れ目ing 負かす／撃墜する on the activity.'

'With the 最近の 干ばつ, water 供給（する）s have been 削減（する） off in some areas away from the 訴える手段／行楽地s, but not in hotels and the ゴルフ courses.'

Anne 主張するd that the 需要・要求するs for more 支配（する）／統制するs are 'nothing personal' against individual tourists, but that people have reached their 限界 and want to catch the 政府 and the マスコミ's attention, hence the 挑発的な graffiti.

Traffic is also a major problem, 追加するd Vicky, with 延期するs between 訴える手段／行楽地 towns and the motorway of up to an hour-and-a-half during high season.

She 追加するd: 'Even the public 輸送（する） is 存在 taken over, the other day a 小旅行する guide jump the 列 for a bus and had 20 tourists with her, and 地元のs were 軍隊d to wait for another one.'

支援する in Los Cristianos, British expats and tourists 急ぐd to defend themselves against the rising anti-観光旅行，事業 感情.

Melissa Taylor, 47, 作品 in the popular Giddy Goose English pub in Las Playas de las Americas.

She told MailOnline: 'The anti-観光旅行，事業 stuff has suddenly 頂点（に達する）d recently.

'I think it's 不公平な what they're 説, without 観光旅行，事業 there would be nothing here.

'Brits come here and spend a lot of money, the 圧倒的な 大多数 of our 顧客s are from the UK.'

Her 同僚 Terrilea Clayton, 22, 株d her 感情.

'It's a bit silly and 不公平な,' she said, 'without 観光旅行，事業 I wouldn't have a 職業 and it brings money to the island.

'During Covid Tenerife became a ghost town and it was terrible.'

However she 認める: 'I've lived here for 10 years and I do understand some of the arguments about rent, I was 現実に kicked out of a flat because the landlord 手配中の，お尋ね者 to turn it into an Airbnb.'

Another 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業 労働者 and mother-of-three Emma Barker, 43, from 物陰／風下d, agreed.

'明白に it's ridiculous to bash 観光旅行，事業 because without it there would be no 職業s, the economy relies so ひどく on it.

'But the rent 状況／情勢 is getting out of 支配（する）／統制する, I've been really lucky with my landlord but if I had to find a new flat 権利 now I don't think I would be able to, it's just too expensive and there are very few 利用できる long 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語. I would probably have to move to another co untry and start afresh.'

British tourists were also 毅然とした that they bring something to the Canary Islands.

John Ashley, 61, from Durham, told MailOnline: 'It's ridiculous, if they stop or 減ずる the number of tourists coming they'll be sorry.

'If the English didn't come, I tell you 権利 now that graffiti would change to say 'English please come 支援する!''

'We've been coming here for 20 years and have more than helped the economy, we Brits always get a bad rep but we bring all the money in.'

Carol Ball, 60, chimed in: 'I think it's not 権利, we come here and spend money, without 観光旅行，事業 where would they be? They rely so much on the 産業.

'If they don't want to see drunk Brits then stay away from the 訴える手段／行楽地s where you're likely to see them.

'Of course there are going to be a small 少数，小数派 who drink too much and go too far, but that's just part of the 観光旅行，事業 商売／仕事.'

Across the road, Londoner Jay Neil, 43, said 地元のs need to stop taking out all the problems on tourists.

The 労働者 at the popular Yolo 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業 told MailOnline: 'I've lived here 17 years and yes the 所有物／資産／財産 状況／情勢 has got crazy.

'But they need to stop 非難するing tourists, it's the greedy landlords that are the problem, there's people buying like five apartments and renting them to holidaymakers because they know they can make a fortune.

'説 tourists go home is just silly, it's the 政府 that needs to 行為／法令／行動する to sort out the 住宅 危機, which is happening all over the world not just here.'

Irish expat Bronagh Maheor, 23, 追加するd: 'It's 全く 不公平な, without tourists here there would not be hotels or 商売／仕事s, I'd be out of a 職業, we need them.'
