The Mex factor: Churros and chocolate

Makes 16 long sticks

INGREDIENTS

● 90g (3?oz) caster sugar

● 1tbsp ground cinnamon

● 125g (4?oz) plain flour

● 125g (4?oz) self-raising flour

● A pinch of sea salt

● 2tbsp olive oil

● 1ltr (1?pt) sunflower oil, for frying

FOR THE CHOCOLATE SAUCE

● 200g (7oz) dark chocolate, 概略で chopped

● 50g (1?oz) milk chocolate, 概略で chopped

● 2tbsp golden syrup

● 300ml (?pt) 二塁打 cream

METHOD

1 Mix the sugar and cinnamon together and 始める,決める aside. In a saucepan melt the chocolate, syrup and cream over a low heat. 精査する the flours with the salt into a heatproof bowl and make a 井戸/弁護士席 in the centre. 2 Leave for 10 minutes. Fill a large saucepan with the sunflower oil about one-third 十分な and heat until a small piece of bread browns in いっそう少なく than 30 seconds.
