Edward Bulwer Lytton Dickens was just 16 when his famous father, Charles, sent him alone to Australia to '適用する himself'.

Beloved as a boy, and nick-指名するd 'Plornishmaroon-tigoonter' ― 縮めるd to Plorn ― the teen was a disap-pointment to the distinguished author, a fact the fictional Plorn is 最初 unaware of in Keneally's genial, wry recreation of his time in remote New South むちの跡s.
