THE LAHORE LOG: The Taliban stands 部隊d

Pakistan continues to bleed, but no one seems to know how or where to stop the 血.

The Hazara community is sitting once again on 血-soaked 国/地域 as 冷淡な as their beloved dead ones who lay in shrouds next to them waiting to be buried.

North Waziristan 地元のs are 逃げるing their homes as foreign 交戦的なs have decided they're here to stay.

Here in Lahore, the city has been 証言,証人/目撃する to two horrible attacks on Shia professionals, one of which ended in 悲劇, bringing about a new level of 恐れる and terror.

The old keep getting older, but there's not much of a chance that our young ones will see old age.

It started earlier this week with a 一連の 自殺 爆弾s, a 手りゅう弾 attack, 的 殺人,大当り, 爆弾 爆破s and so on. 兵士s were attacked, anti-polio 労働者s 虐殺(する)d, Shia 巡礼者s 大虐殺d, professionals belonging to the Shia sect 殺人d, and it seemed it was just another week in the 血まみれの history of Pakistan.

But did it start this week or the week before? Did it start in 2001? It started 世代s ago, and it has now spiralled out of 支配(する)/統制する to the point where even our 政府 has problems passing an anti-テロ行為 法案.

The cries for war keep getting louder, but one wonders what war is going to 達成する? 洗浄するing! But, of what? 交戦的なs! Forever? 井戸/弁護士席… We have a new 首相, a new 大統領, a new COAS and a new TTP 指揮官, yet the game is the same one.

不本意

Ask the 明言する/公表する and they're sticking to the "peace 会談" rhetoric which 含むs empty 激しい非難 each time 非軍事のs are attacked. The same 政府 led by the PML-N - a party which brands itself as an Islamic 右翼 party with its 忠誠 to Saudi Arabia - is 気が進まない to 行う war on a 交戦的な organisation that 恐らく 伸び(る)s its 観念的な stand and 基金ing from Saudi Arabia, and other countries.

The 軍の is 直面するing the monster it created; it has gone out of 支配(する)/統制する with the influx of foreign 交戦的なs. Institutional support for the Taliban, whose origins 嘘(をつく) with the 軍の, have now 設立する soft support in the 政府 and 政党s.

肉体的に getting rid of the Taliban isn't going to work; hundreds more will creep out from Afghanistan, 地位,任命する-US 出口. There are many 経済的な problems and energy 不足s even without a war, and its 経済的な 需要・要求するs are 追加するing to an 極端に 重さを計るd-負かす/撃墜する nation.

The endgame is almost 非,不,無-existent; rehabilitation, 再構築するing of broken lives, better 安全, terror-解放する/自由な 未来 are too expensive and dear dreams. We have had 軍の 介入s before. We've 証言,証人/目撃するd 交戦的なs attack 非軍事のs and 兵士s. Then the 軍の 続けざまに猛撃するs them, (疑いを)晴らすing some space and avenging their fallen. But then more 非軍事のs are attacked and the cycle returns.

To 確実にする an attack is successful, everything is organised; any chance for 失敗 or 行方不明になる is 除去するd. In this 尊敬(する)・点 the 最近の 空気/公表する strikes 開始する,打ち上げるd in North Waziristan illustrate what will happen if we do go to war - d efeated by its own monster, the 軍の must be feeling even worse, given how they 行方不明になるd their main 的 Adnan Rasheed.

But the Taliban is always successful in its attacks. It has so much to 的 - Shias, Ahmedis, Christians, Hazaras, children, women, schools, hospitals and donkeys. Professionals - doctors, poets, 財政上の officers, polio 労働者s - are 攻撃する,衝突する because they serve the people in a 建設的な manner and do not 適合する to the Taliban mindset.

The Army is fighting for its own. Civil society is too fragmented over sectarian differences to 統一する. The 政府 is at a loss with what to do with something they don't understand and 恐れる. The only organisation that looks 部隊d - with an organised, though horrific, endgame - is the Taliban.
