A 19-year-old American 試みる/企てるing to become the youngest person ever to 飛行機で行く around the world 単独の reached India on Thursday, more than a month into his 空中の 長期冒険旅行.

Matt Guthmiller, a student at the Massachusetts 学校/設ける of 科学(工学)技術 (MIT), smiled and flashed a thumbs-up after he landed his 選び出す/独身-engined Beechcraft A36 大当り 航空機 in the city of Nagpur, western Maharashtra 早期に Thursday.

"It's been good, 現実に a lot of fun. I have been to some really 利益/興味ing places. There have been some minor 問題/発行するs but 全体にわたる it's been fun," Guthmiller told AFP by telephone.

The bespectacled teen is 始める,決める to cover 29,000 miles (46,700 kilometres) during his month-long 旅行, making 25 stops across 14 countries.

He hopes to 始める,決める a Guinness World 記録,記録的な/記録する by 上陸 on July 8 in California, when he will be 16 days younger than Ryan Campbell of Australia, the 現在の 記録,記録的な/記録する 支えるもの/所有者.

Campbell was 19 years, seven months, and 25 days old when he arrived south of Sydney in 2013.

With more than 500 飛行機で行くing hours under his belt, Guthmiller has already zipped across the 部隊d 明言する/公表するs, Europe and the Mediterranean Sea, 負かす/撃墜する through Egypt and の上に the 湾 since he took flight from San Diego on May 31.

Guthmiller flew into Nagpur from Abu Dhabi where he said, "instead of 航空 gas they gave me P4 engine oil. But it was all sorted out in the end."

His next stops are Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, the Philippines, Australia and Samoa, where he said the 天候 could 提起する/ポーズをとる a challenge.

"I am going to a part of the world where 季節風s can be an 問題/発行する. The 天候 can really change from the time that I take off," he said.

Guthmiller is raising money through sponsors and 計画(する)s to 寄付する all proceeds to Code.org, a 非,不,無-利益(をあげる) organisation that 押し進めるs for computer science and programming to be taught in schools.

"The goal is to raise $250,000. Cost of the trip is about $145,000. So I am looking at (寄付するing) about $105,000 to Code.org," he said.
