PATNA DURBAR: Bihar may not 投票（する） on caste lines?

Caste has undoubtedly been an integral part of the Bihar 選挙s over the years. Almost all the major 政党s here have considered caste to be a 決定的な factor in 連続する 投票s in the 明言する／公表する.?

It was only in the last two 選挙s ? the 2010 議会 投票s and the 2014 選挙s ? that the 天罰（を下す） of caste took a 支援する seat in the 明言する／公表する. In those 選挙s, the people had elected the NDA with a 強くたたくing 大多数, making votaries of 開発 politics believe that 投票者s of a seemingly caste-conscious 明言する／公表する had come of age.?

In both 選挙s, the NDA had entered into the 投票 fray with its 進歩／革新的な 協議事項 of 開発. Bihar had 記録，記録的な／記録するd the growth 率 of 10 per cent on an 普通の／平均（する） ever since Nitish Kumar had taken over the reins of the 明言する／公表する 政府 in 2005. It was the 委任統治（領） for the NDA under his leadership that 誘発するd political commentators to assume the plank of 進歩 had overtaken the caste-関係のある 問題／発行するs in the race to 力／強力にする in Bihar.?

But is the 状況／情勢 as good as it seems? As the next 議会 選挙s are coming nearer, it is becoming （疑いを）晴らす the caste factor cannot be wished away from the 明言する／公表する’s 選挙（人）の scene. In fact, so perceptible is its 衝撃 in the run-up to the 投票s it makes one wonder if it had ever disappeared.?

In the 近づいている 投票s, almost all the parties appear to have 始める，決める out to 勝利，勝つ over the さまざまな caste groups in their own way. While some of them are organising caste-based 決起大会／結集させるs and 会議／協議会s, others are trying to 支持を得ようと努める the leaders of different castes to 伸び（る） advantage at the hustings.?

This may appear to be ironical because the Bihar 投票s are now 存在 dubbed as the straight contest between the two leaders who are considered the epitomes of 開発-centric politics.?

PM Narendra Modi, who is 主要な the NDA and CM Nitish Kumar, who is 長，率いるing the grand 同盟 of the JD-U, RJD and the 議会, 借りがある their success to their 開発 協議事項 which they have 追求するd rather vigorously.?

But even their proven 跡をつける 記録，記録的な／記録するs have not 影響（力）d their 各々の 同盟s to junk the caste factor and bank 単独で upon the 進歩 plank.

It is 明らかに the コンビナート／複合体 caste arithmetic in the 明言する／公表する that has 誘発するd the BJP to join 手渡すs with former CM Jitan 押し通す Manjhi, a popular leader of the mahadalit community which accounts for about 15 per cent 投票（する）s in the 明言する／公表する.?

The BJP is also part of caste-明確な／細部 programmes held in the 明言する／公表する.?

The grand 同盟 of the Janata Parivar and the 議会 is not に引き続いて a different 選挙（人）の course either. Though its CM 候補者 Nitish Kumar has been を強調するing his 解決する to keep working on his 協議事項 of inclusive 開発, his 同盟 leaders such as Lalu Prasad seem busy working for the consolidation of the different caste groups.?

The Bihar Swabhiman 決起大会／結集させる in Patna last Sunday saw the RJD 大統領，／社長 making a 企て，努力，提案 to 防備を堅める／強化する his 伝統的な 投票（する） bank. He talked about the まとまり of his caste and decried the 企て，努力，提案 of his 対抗者s to divide his fellow castemen.?

“But can anybody divide the Yadavs?” he asked.?

The 決起大会／結集させる を強調するd the 同盟’s 戦略s for the coming 投票s. On the one 手渡す, it was 捜し出すing to take advantage of Nitish’s image and, on the other, it was trying to mobilise the different castes which have been its 伝統的な support base.?

However, the 楽天主義者s の中で the 支持するs of 開発 politics in Bihar still believe that 開発 will remain the central 問題／発行する in this 選挙 同様に. 特記する／引用するing the 支配的な presence of young 投票者s under the age of 35, they think the Bihari 青年 of the social マスコミ 世代 want to 演習 their franchise without giving any consideration to the caste factor.?

For them, 開発 of Bihar is the most important 問題／発行する in the 選挙s. Whatever happens, the 戦う／戦い of 投票（する）s is 始める，決める to be a keen contest between the country’s two 支持する／優勝者s of 開発 politics.

The Nitish Kumar 政府 gave a 税金 控除 to Ketan Mehta’s Mountain Man, a Bollywood biopic of Dashrath Manjhi, while former CM Jitan 押し通す Manjhi 拍手喝采する the film 製造者 for the 現実主義の 描写 of the poor man who had carved a road through a mountain in Bihar.?

The movie, which was 解放（する）d recently, featured as many as eight child artistes from the 明言する／公表する.?

Ex- CM Manjhi, organised the 審査 of the film for the child artistes and even felicitated them for their work.?

Excited to see themselves on the big 審査する, they said it was a dream-come-true for them. They also said they would want to work in more movies.

Vidya Balan wants more 洗面所s for women?

When Vidya Balan （機の）カム to Patna the other day, movies were not on her 協議事項. It was her 使節団 to give a fillip to a （選挙などの）運動をする against open defecation which was uppermost on her mind.?

The ‘Dirty Picture’ actress said that Bihar had a glorious history and the 明言する／公表する was famous for its Madhubani 絵s, Bhagalpur silk, Magahi Paan, sattu and littichokha.?

“This is the land of Buddha,” she said. “Let us now 確実にする that everybody has a 洗面所 in this 明言する／公表する.”?

Bihar has the worst 記録，記録的な／記録する in this field. But Vidya believes that talking 率直に about the need for 洗面所s in all homes will spread 認識／意識性 about it.?

The actress, who made her debut in Bollywood about a １０年間 ago, 認める that she had come to be known as “Shauchalaya Didi (洗面所 s ister)”, thanks to her ‘洗面所s-for-all’ （選挙などの）運動をする.?

Nitish has to keep Kejriwal away

Ni tish has (1)偽造する／(2)徐々に進むd a pre-投票 tie-up with Lalu Prasad, who has been at the receiving end of Kejriwal’s bitter attacks in the past. Besides, the JD-U leader has joined an 同盟 with the 議会 which has been one of AAP’s main adversaries in Delhi. These 同盟s 確実にする that the Delhi CM would not be part of any of Nitish’s political programs in which Lalu or 議会 leaders will 株 the 演壇 with him.?

This was 証明するd recently when Kejriwal …に出席するd an 公式の／役人 儀式 of the Nitish 政府 but stayed away from the Bihar Swabhiman 決起大会／結集させる of the grand 同盟 in Patna.?

Nitish and Kejriwal have formed a 相互の 賞賛 society and applaud each other for the way they have 取り組むd the menace of 汚職. But with Lalu and the 議会 by his 味方する, Nitish is unable to able to make use of Kejriwal in the Bihar 選挙s the way he would have liked.
