What is the Ofgem price cap??

The price cap was brought in during January 2019 to stop energy 会社/堅いs overcharging 顧客s on variable-率 関税s.

Most 世帯s had 直す/買収する,八百長をするd-率 energy 取引,協定s at the time, and only moved の上に variable-率 関税s if they did not 新たにする at the end of their 称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語.

Why is the price cap now so important???

After energy 法案s began rising in late 2021, gas and electricity companies 答える/応じるd by pulling all new 直す/買収する,八百長をするd-率 取引,協定s from the market.

They did this to try to 避ける the 普及した 崩壊(する) that 影響する/感情d many energy 会社/堅いs, which were suddenly 存在 軍隊d to sell 力/強力にする for far いっそう少なく than it cost them to buy it.

Because cheap 直す/買収する,八百長をするd-率 取引,協定s had almost disappeared, almost all homes ended up on variable 関税s 規制するd by the Ofgem price cap.
