George Osborne 勧めるs energy 巨大（な）s to 'look again' at price rises as npower 非難するs 政府 green 政策

The （ドイツなどの）首相／（大学の）学長 of the 国庫 has 定評のある the びっくり仰天 of 消費者s over the 最新の 抱擁する 引き上げ（る）s in energy 法案s by 勧めるing 会社／堅いs to 再考する yesterday's price rise 告示s by British Gas and Npower.

誘発するing 警告s that more 世帯s will be 急落（する），激減（する）d into a 'long, 冷淡な winter' as people's 予算s are squeezed tighter, George Osborne said: 'We've also got to do everything we can in Britain to try and keep those 法案s 負かす／撃墜する.

'Partly it is because of things beyond our 支配（する）／統制する - what's happening in the world with oil prices and gas prices.

'But I would 勧める those energy companies to look again at any 増加するs to see if they are 絶対 necessary at a time like this.'

However, npower has 非難するd the 政府’s green 税金s for its 増加するd 燃料 法案s. The company said the 急ぐ to 削減（する） 炭素 放出／発行s was a major factor in it 運動ing up 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金s by 9 per cent.

規則s from Brussels and Westminster mean energy 会社／堅いs 直面する 刑罰，罰則 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金s if they create electricity from coal, oil or gas. The companies then pass this 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金 on to 消費者s.

Npower’s 長，指導者 商業の officer, Paul Massara, said: ‘There is never a good time to 増加する energy 法案s, but the costs of new statutory 計画／陰謀s, 増加するs in 配当 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金s and the price of gas for the coming winter are all 存在 driven up by 外部の factors, for example 政府 政策.’

Asked if rising energy 会社／堅い 利益（をあげる）s were 過度の, he said: 'I think these energy companies should make sure they're only 追加するing to their 法案s the 絶対の 最小限 they need to 追加する to continue 投資するing in our energy 供給（する） and they're not going beyond that.'

British Gas 発表するd an extra £80 on its typical 年次の 二重の 燃料 法案, 影響する／感情ing 8.5million 顧客s from November 16. Npower followed with an 普通の／平均（する） rise of 8.8 per cent for gas and 9.1 per cent for electricity, 押し進めるing up costs for another 3million.

Unions and 消費者 groups attacked British Gas and called on the 政府 to take 緊急の 活動／戦闘 to 取り組む rising 燃料 prices.

部隊 general 長官 Le n McCluskey said: 'With winter approaching, low-行うd people will now be terrified about how they are going to find another £80.

'Money from the poor is going to the pockets of [British Gas owner] Centrica 株主s. This is その上の shameful 乱用 by out of 支配（する）／統制する, greedy 燃料 companies, sitting on piles of 利益（をあげる）.'

Its director of energy Audrey Gallacher said no one had managed to 納得させる 消費者s of the necessity for price rises in the 状況 of 卸売物価s and company 利益（をあげる）s.

She 追加するd: 'We need much more 焦点（を合わせる） on the big steps that 政府 and the regulator can take to 絶縁する 消費者s from the 影響s of growing energy costs.'

マイク Jeram of Unison said: 'It will be a long, 冷淡な winter for many pensioners, the 失業した and for low-paid 労働者s and their families.

'Just days ago we learned that the cost of fruit and vegetables have gone up by a 大規模な 50 per cent in the last year. Any 増加する in energy prices is likely to tip more families into 負債 and into the 手渡すs of unscrupulous payday 貸付金 companies.'
