THE NUMBER of people 宣言するing themselves 破産者／倒産した has nearly 二塁打d during the past year, 政府 人物／姿／数字s showed today.

A total of 13,897 people in England and むちの跡s 適用するd for 破産 themselves, as …に反対するd to 存在 軍隊d into 破産 by their creditors, during the モミ st three months of 2006.

This was an 85% 増加する on the 7,528 people who 嘆願（書）d for 破産 during the first ４半期/4分の1 of 2005, によれば the Department for 憲法の 事件／事情／状勢s (DCA).

But the number of people 軍隊d into 破産 by their creditors rose only わずかに during the year, 増加するing by 16% to 5,615.

The 人物／姿／数字s come a week after the Insolvency Service said a 記録，記録的な／記録する 23,351 people in England and むちの跡s were 宣言するd insolvent during the first three months of the year.

It said the number of people 宣言するd 破産者／倒産した rose by 51% compared with the same period the previous year, while those taking out Individual Voluntary 手はず／準備 (IVAs), under which 利益／興味 on 負債 is frozen in 交流 for an agreed 量 存在 repaid each month, 急に上がるd by 142%.

The DCA's 人物／姿／数字s are different to the ones from the Insolvency Service because they 代表する the number of 破産 嘆願（書）s, as …に反対するd to the number of people who are 現実に 宣言するd insolvent.

Steve Treharne, 長，率いる of personal insolvency at KPMG, said: 'Earlier this year we saw a 劇の 増加する in the number of people calling help lines and asking the 国民s Advice Bureau and other organisations for 指導／手引.

'The 容積／容量 of 報知係s 捜し出すing advice on 負債 is likely to be a major factor in this 最新の leap in people 受託するing personal insolvency as the 解答 to their problems. There is also a rise in the number and size of 商業の 会社／堅いs proactively looking to advise those in 財政上の difficulty - which should be taken into account.'

He 追加するd that the 85% rise in the number of people choosing to go 破産者／倒産した 示唆するd that 破産 had lost much of its stigma.

The DCA 人物／姿／数字s also showed that there were 3,150 company winding up 嘆願（書）s during the first three months of the year, 9% more than during the first ４半期/4分の1 of 2005.
