JEFF PRESTRIDGE: At last! Things are looking up for savers - words that I 港/避難所't been able to 令状 for やめる a while

We might be living in financially challenging times, but it's not all bad news.?

For those who 最高の,を越す up their 世帯 income with 利益/興味 支払い(額)s from their bank or building society 貯金, the mood music is better than it has been for a while. 貯金 率s are on the up. Smiles all 一連の会議、交渉/完成する.?

This week, we are likely to see the Bank of England 押し進める up the base 率 yet again ? by anything between 0.5 and 1 per cent (it 現在/一般に stands at 2.25 per cent).?

>> You can check the 最新の 貯金 率s using our 独立した・無所属 best-buy (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs.

Not all bad news: For those who top up their household income with interest payments from their bank or building society savings, the mood music is better than it has been for a while

Not all bad news: For those who 最高の,を越す up their 世帯 income with 利益/興味 支払い(額)s from their bank or building society 貯金, the mood music is better than it has been for a while

This in turn should 誘発する/引き起こす a corresponding rise in 貯金 率s, although many 会・原則s will dilly and dally before 圧力(をかける)ing the '増加する' button ーするために make more 利益(をあげる)s for their 株主s. Naughty, naughty.?

As ever, I 勧める savers to 確実にする they are still getting a fair 取引,協定 from?their bank or building society.?

Websites such as 貯金 支持する/優勝者 and Moneyfacts 供給する 詳細(に述べる)s of the best 率s 利用できる, によれば the 量 of 接近 you want to your money.?

This is Money's 独立した・無所属 and popular best buy 貯金 (米)棚上げする/(英)提議するs are also a 広大な/多数の/重要な source enabling savers to search out the best 取引,協定s at any given time.??

Our stats (below) also gives plenty of useful (警察などへの)密告,告訴(状).

A few days ago, NS&I, the 政府-支援するd 貯金 organisation, 始める,決める the トン on 率s by 押し進めるing up the 利益/興味 on its 範囲 of variable 率 accounts by between 0.6 and 0.85 百分率 points.?

It means the 率 on both Direct Saver and Income 社債s (1.8 per cent) is now at its highest for more than a 10年間, although NS&I has reserved its best 率 for Junior Isa savers (2.7 per cent).?

For savers at least, things are looking up. Words that I 港/避難所't been able to 令状 for やめる a while.

Think about your 年金?

You may not know this, but an assortment of companies want you to take time out today ? in between taking the dog out for a walk and reading this 広大な/多数の/重要な newspaper ? to think about your 年金. For that 事柄, not just today, but in the coming days 同様に.

For starters, a number of 主要な?lights in the 財政上の services 産業 have みなすd today to be 国家の 年金 Tracing Day.?

A day when people should rack their 財政上の brains and ask themselves a simple question: Do I have a 年金 基金 with a former 雇用者 that I have forgotten about or lost 接触する with??

For many readers, the answer will be yes. によれば which 専門家 you talk to, there are between 1.6million and 3million?年金 マリファナs 現在/一般に unclaimed by their owners. マリファナs with a 連合させるd value of up to £26.6billion. Money that could make a big difference to many people's 財政/金融s in later life.

So, if you believe you have a lost 年金 sitting in the long grass, do something about it. Visit nationalpensiontracingday.co.uk. It could make today a golden Sunday.?

And if you still feel in a 年金 肉親,親類d of mood after visiting that website, may I 示唆する that you also take a look at websites pensionattention.co.uk and pensionawarenessday.com. Both are?designed to get you to think about your 財政上の 未来.

Have we become 慣れさせるd to bank 支店 終結s??

It seems so. So far this year, 486 支店s have either been の近くにd or put on notice of 切迫した 終結 ? and the reaction from the public has (妨げる/法廷,弁護士業 the 半端物 exception) been muted.?

For example, in my home town of Wokingham in Berkshire, the 告示 that NatWest is shutting up shop has so far met with little 抵抗 ? not a 掲示 or 抗議する in sight.?

Maybe it's because NatWest is not the last bank in town, but I 嫌疑者,容疑者/疑う the public is no longer surprised when a 支店 の近くにs. It has?become the norm.?

Such public disinterest in 支店 終結s may partly explain why the banking 産業 is dragging its feet on supporting new-style banking 中心s in towns which have lost all their banks.?

Such 中心s are community banks which 顧客s of all the big banking brands can use.?

Two 中心s have been 操縦するd and 25 new ones 確認するd. But 非,不,無 of the 25 has yet to open.?

Community banking 選挙運動者 Derek French is livid at such procrastination ? and rightly so. NatWest の近くにing its Wokingham 支店 is inconvenient but 理解できる. But 許すing towns to become banking 砂漠s is bang out of order.
