MAGGIE PAGANO: 追跡(する) 有罪の of hypocrisy if he goes ahead with the planned 会社/団体 税金 引き上げ(る)
If Rishi Sunak and Jeremy 追跡(する) 引き上げ(る) 会社/団体 税金 in next month’s 予算, they will not only cost the 財務省 lost 歳入 but 軍隊 thousands of small 商売/仕事s to either pull 支援する on new 資本/首都 投資 and 削減(する) 職業s, or both.
同様に as the 会社/団体 税金 増加する from 19 per cent to 25 per cent, small 会社/堅いs 直面する higher energy costs, late 支払い(額)s from 供給者s, 商売/仕事 率s which are paid even before companies make a penny in turnover and 削減(する)s to R&D 税金 credits.
Smaller companies also 苦しむ the most from R&D 削減(する)s as it is these 会社/堅いs, rather than large ones, which make a bigger 出資/貢献 to 全体にわたる 革新.
U-turn: (ドイツなどの)首相/(大学の)学長?Jeremy 追跡(する) ロビーd for 会社/団体 税金 to be 削除するd to 15% when pitching to be 総理大臣 last year
によれば the 連合 of Small 商売/仕事s, the mood の中で members is lower than at any time since the first lockdown ? which is why Sunak and 追跡(する) need to 捨てる this 税金 引き上げ(る) that is no t only fundamentally 欠陥d, but doesn’t raise more 歳入.?
Far from it. 人物/姿/数字s show that after George Osborne 削除するd 会社/団体 税金 from 28 per cent to 19 per cent, 税金 歳入 between 2010 and 2017 二塁打d from £31.7billion to £62.7billionn.
Surely the 財務省 must know these 人物/姿/数字s? If so, why is 追跡(する) going ahead with raising the 税金??
If there are any 疑問s about why raising 会社/団体 税金 is such a terrible mistake, he needs a 静かな word with Pascal Soriot, 長,指導者 (n)役員/(a)執行力のある of AstraZeneca, who is not going ahead with the planned 明言する/公表する-of-the-art £300million 製造業の 施設 in the North West of England because 法人税 率s are ‘discouraging’.
Soriot is 存在 polite. What he means is this 政策 is bonkers. And misguided. What better way to ‘level up’ in the North West than build a new 工場/植物 creating hundreds of low and high-技術d 職業s??
Any other country would be 申し込む/申し出ing Soriot multi-millions in 補助金s to build his factory.
It is 価値(がある) reminding 追跡(する) that he lobb ied for 会社/団体 税金 to be 削除するd to 15pc when pitching to be 総理大臣 last year.?
This is what he said: ‘We need to start up Britain now. To send a signal the UK is the most プロの/賛成の-商売/仕事 economy in the world.’
What hypocrisy. The only explanation for not 逆転するing the 引き上げ(る) is that Sunak and 追跡(する) are terrified that even the whiff of a 税金 削減(する) will 誘発する/引き起こす another Truss-style 大虐殺 in the 社債 markets, as seen last autumn.
Yet the 状況/情勢 today is utterly different. We have 辛うじて 避けるd 後退,不況, 利益/興味 率s may 井戸/弁護士席 be の近くに to 頂点(に達する)ing and インフレーション is coming 負かす/撃墜する.
They have a month and a day to wake up and smell the coffee.
High 飛行機で行くing
Arriving 支援する at Heathrow Airport on Sunday night from Barcelona was surprisingly pleasant on just about every count.
It was my first overseas trip since lockdown, the first time I have flown with British 航空路s (brilliant service) for donkey’s years and the first time 上陸 at 終点 5.?
There was only the tiniest of 列s for the 非,不,無-EU パスポート 支配(する)/統制する, so no one had the chance to 激怒(する) or tweet about Brexit.
Staff were on 手渡す to help, directing people to baggage 埋め立てる, while more were outside the 出口s guiding travellers to the Heathrow 表明する and the new Elizabeth Line (magnificent feat of 工学).?
And it’s 急速な/放蕩な, 横断するing London from Heathrow to Liverpool Street 駅/配置する took いっそう少なく than an hour.?
What a change not to moan about the 明言する/公表する of Blighty. When we build these big 事業/計画(する)s, we do them brilliantly. Just need more of them.
No wonder Heathrow 報告(する)/憶測s one of the busiest starts to the year since 2020 with more than 5.4m 乗客s travelling in January. John Holland-Kaye, the 去っていく/社交的な 長,指導者 (n)役員/(a)執行力のある, is 権利, 説 the airport is 支援する to its best.
Even his (人命などを)奪う,主張する that 98 per cent of travellers waiting いっそう少なく than ten minutes to pass 安全 last month is believable.
利益/興味ing too that the most popular 目的地 last month was the EU with 1.6m 乗客s. Those 列s don’t seem to have put anyone off travelling to the continent after all.?
Holland-Kaye, who was much criticised during the lockdowns, is leaving on a high. The much-maligned BA isn’t doing too 不正に either. Only the third 滑走路 to sort out now.
Give it some welly
Hunter Boot has changed 手渡すs more times than most of us buy wellies in a lifetime.?
Yet Hunter is doing so nicely that its 私的な-公正,普通株主権 owners are looking for new 財政/金融ing ahead of a sale.?
Let’s hope that Hunter now finds a British owner ふさわしい to its 王室の 令状. One for Next?
