RUTH SUNDERLAND: Why is your child 投票(する)ing for Corbyn's 社会主義者 見通し? Because political 恐れるs stalk markets

Why is my child 投票(する)ing for Jeremy Corbyn? And what does it mean for my 投資s? These are questions 悩ますing many a middle-老年の 基金 経営者/支配人 in the City.

They are mystified that their young adult offspring are acolytes of the 労働 leader and can’t see the Corbynist 社会主義者 brew as the recipe for 廃虚 it most certainly would be, if he ever 伸び(る)d 力/強力にする.

Of course, the young have always been more inclined に向かって radicalism than their staid and 従来の 年上のs. It’s part of the 職業 description, after all.

Alarmingly, though, 投資 group Waverton, 以前は JO Hambro, has 設立する a penchant for Corbyn continuing 深い into middle age.

The point at which you are more likely to 投票(する) Conservati ve than 労働, it (人命などを)奪う,主張するs, has risen from 34 to 51.

Student 財政/金融s is one 推論する/理由 the young, and their middle-老年の mums and dads are angry. In 1980, students were given a £3,000 認める to help 基金 university ? equal to £12,600 today.?

But the 現在の 刈る of undergraduates have to take on thousands of 続けざまに猛撃するs 価値(がある) of 貸付金s and 支払う/賃金 tuition 料金s instead.

Perhaps the most 重要な underlying 推論する/理由 for political disaffection is that the very, very long 傾向 for real 収入s to keep 改善するing has 立ち往生させるd.

Waverton looked at how 井戸/弁護士席 British 労働者s have been paid, dating 支援する to 1209. Those that 生き残るd the 黒人/ボイコット Death in the 14th century saw 給料 rise because of a 不足 of 労働, but for a long period from the 15th to the 19th century they were in the doldrums.

During the 産業の 革命, 収入s 井戸/弁護士席 and truly took off.?The long steeply 上向き 傾向 since the 早期に 19th century has led many to 推定する/予想する rising 基準s of living as a birthright, and to believe that their children can, with hard work and luck, be more 繁栄する than they are themselves.

But since the 財政上の 危機, the long 上向き march has come to an end and 収入s have barely risen at all.

New 血: 慣習に捕らわれない 経済的な ideas are surfacing, such as Modern 通貨の Theory, 支持する/優勝者d by US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (pictured)

This, along with house prices that mean home 所有権 remains out of reach for longer to many young people, explains why there is so much disaffection にもかかわらず high levels of 雇用.

In the US, the 給料 of unskilled 労働者s 頂点(に達する)d more than 40 years ago in 1978, which no 疑問 explains some of the 控訴,上告 大統領 Trump has in the Rust Belt.

It’s not surprising that 慣習に捕らわれない 経済的な ideas are surfacing, such as Modern 通貨の Theory, 支持する/優勝者d by US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

MMT is a doctrine 説 that 政府s that 支配(する)/統制する their own 通貨 can spend as much as they like because they can just create money to 支払う/賃金 off their 負債s. 従来の 経済学者s think it’s bonkers.?

But in a 地位,任命する-危機 world where quantitative 緩和 ? 基本的に central banks printing money ? and 近づく 無 利益/興味 率s are seen as normal, it’s not surprising that the 投票者 in the street can’t see the difference.

Trump’s 貿易(する) war with 中国 and the prospect of a No 取引,協定 Brexit, which has 攻撃する,衝突する 英貨の/純銀の, are having an 影響 on markets.
