Peps so abysmal

?

I have two Peps: a Lloyds 選び出す/独身 company Pep (last valuation £5,123 at £6.42) and a Lloyds 法人組織の/企業の Pep (£9,991 at £6.42).They were more than £9 per 株 when I 投資するd. As an ex-従業員 it was a good 投資 at the time. Although my shareholding is 増加するing, the value is not. I understand I could now 移転 to another Pep provider. Advice please. SB, N ewcastle, Staffs.

Ben Yearsley, 投資 経営者/支配人 at 資産 経営者/支配人s Hargreaves Lansdown says: 明白に buying just one company in a PEP is a high 危険 戦略 as you are 扶養家族 on the fortunes of that one company and there is no way of diversifying 危険.

That is not to say that owning just one company is a bad thing - it's not, but it is a higher-危険 approach than 持つ/拘留するing a 集団の/共同の 投資 such as a 部隊 or 投資 信用.

The 現在の 株 price of Lloyds TSB is 726 1/2p (as at 24 May 2001). You have always had the 適切な時期 to 移転 your Pep to another provider, and you can also 移転 your 選び出す/独身 company Pep into a 集団の/共同の 投資.

Whether you should or not depends on the 危険 you want to take with this 投資. If this is only a small part of a much larger 大臣の地位 of 投資s, then it can be used to 供給する the 'spice' in your 大臣の地位. But if this is the 大多数 of your 投資s, then perhaps a lower-危険 approach (by transferring to a 集団の/共同の 投資) is an 選択 to consider. Only you can decide on the level of 危険 you want to take.
