The world's most profitable bank, known for having the best-paid 従業員s in the City, 認める its 支払う／賃金 and 特別手当s 基金 had shrunk by more than a third compared with this time a year ago.

While Goldman managed to dodge much of the subprime mortgage fiasco by abandoning dodgy home 貸付金s last spring, it has still 苦しむd losses in other markets.

Today the bank 認める 利益（をあげる）s had halved against a year ago in the first three months of this year, 負かす／撃墜する to $1.51bn (£748m).
