MANY of Britain's smaller 商売／仕事s are considering 職業 削減（する）s after this month's 最小限 行う 増加する.

A fifth of 会社／堅いs who took part in a 調査する said they will be 軍隊d to 削減（する） staff over the next few months. Nearly three ４半期/4分の1s said they were looking at redundancies.

The 調査する of more than 6,000 small and medium 会社／堅いs 設立する that 80% felt the rise this month from £4.20 to £4.50 an hour for 労働者s 老年の 21 and up was too high, given the 現在の 率 of インフレーション at 2.9% and the 厳しい 経済的な 気候.

The 大多数 of bosses also said that next year's planned 増加する to £4.85 for adults and £4.10 for 労働者s 老年の 18 to 21 would 悪化させる the problem.

This is the fourth 増加する in the 最小限 行う since it （機の）カム in at £3.60 in 1999.

Peter Done, managing director of 法律 会社／堅い 半島, said: 'This 増加する is three times that of インフレーション.

'This and any 未来 rises will only 損失 small 会社／堅いs and put 職業s at 危険. Sacrifices may also have to be made in areas such as working 条件s, 利益s or 特別手当s.'

The 熟考する／考慮する also 設立する that more than 40% of owner 経営者／支配人s do not agree with the 最小限 行う and the 大多数 say it makes it harder to compete with other 会社／堅いs.

Done 追加するs: 'Larger 商売／仕事s are better placed to take on the rise in the 最小限 行う, which must put small 会社／堅いs at a disadvantage.'
