Brown builds own 最高の-省

GORDON Brown is forming a '政府 within a 政府' that 効果的に gives the （ドイツなどの）首相／（大学の）学長 全体にわたる 支配（する）／統制する of most of Britain's 国内の 政策.

研究 by the London Evening 基準 shows a sizeable 拡大 of staff numbers at the 財務省 as Brown builds a 最高の-省 延長するing its tentacles into 事実上 every part of 政府.

Since the （ドイツなどの）首相／（大学の）学長 took over に引き続いて 労働's 1997 General Electi on victory, staff numbers have climbed from 888 to 990, a rise necessary for Brown's 計画（する）s to create '影をつくる／尾行する 部隊s' to mirror most 政府 departments.

The Evening 基準 has identified more than 26 individuals within the 財務省 whose 役割 is to 影をつくる／尾行する the activities of 政府 departments and 供給する the （ドイツなどの）首相／（大学の）学長 with （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状）.

Matthew Taylor, the Lib Dem 財務省 広報担当者, said: 'We have seen a big 増加する in staff. The 財務省 is 二塁打-guessing every department and the same thing is happening in 負かす／撃墜するing Street at enormous cost. This is appallingly wasteful.

IN Washington, it's known as '使節団 creep'. Here, the 決意 of Gordon Brown to 課す his ideology has seen 広大な chunks of 政府 落ちるing under his sway.

More than 20% of civil servants 報告（する）／憶測 to him 経由で the Inland 歳入, Customs or the 財務省, and his 影をつくる／尾行するing of 政府 departments 含むs everything from defence, 外交 and 知能, to 環境, food and 田舎の 事件／事情／状勢s.

行政 of large parts of the social 安全 credit system means the 財務省 has 効果的に taken 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金 of 抱擁する 列s of the Department of Work and 年金s and left the Department of Social 安全 治めるing to only children, the 失業した and the old.

It is even said to be taking an 増加するing 役割 監督するing Iraq's 経済的な 再建.

The 財務省 Select 委員会, while applauding 財務省 成果／努力s to develop new 率先s on 地域の 生産性 with the DTI, 認めるs some of its activities may need 簡素化するing. Select 委員会 chairman John McFall 譲歩するs the 財務省 now has 'a large 足跡 over 政府'.

One 観察者／傍聴者 追加するs: 'Brown is like a spider sitting at the heart of the 政府, 影響（力）ing 経済的な 開発 by the use of 税金 breaks.'
